Alright Negative Nancies, I'm Calling my Shot!

I'm sick of all the negativity not only on CP, but all over social media regarding the Chiefs. I think the team uses the blowback from the Buffalo game as a galvanizing point for the team and we get not only petty Pat but petty Chiefs for the rest of the season.

The Chiefs are going 4-0 to close out the regular season. Baltimore is going to drop 2 of their last 4 games and Miami is going to lose 2 of their last 4 games. Chiefs get the number 1 seed. Chiefs beat Jacksonville in the divisional round at Arrowhead and then beat Miami in the AFC Championship game.

P.S.--I'm starting the GDTs for the next 4 games before giving it up to Hammock Parties for the playoffs.

Let's ****ing go!!

I'm hoping the Chiefs get galvanized by this latest loss and the aftermath and make a good playoff run, while Mahomes restores some of the good will he lost from some fans. I can see the Chiefs winning it all, although I recognize that we don't have the strongest team in the field. I'm looking forward to the Chiefs being the team that other playoff teams might not want to face.
I'm also trying to make sure I do the things I can control that help keep me healthier and happy, like getting sleep, exercise, and eating well, so that whether the Chiefs win or lose doesn't have as much overall effect on me as it could. I don't get as worked up by the Chiefs as I did when I was younger, but they still have a big effect, and I try to be mindful of that.
I'm damn glad Mahomes has already won us two Super Bowls and I'd like him to stay healthy and put his best foot forward for the rest of his career, hopefully netting Chiefs fans many more victories and happy moments.
Travis might be with us for only a little bit longer, but I hope he finds his happily ever after! He's been so great for the Chiefs and for football.

Really feels like Chiefs/Ravens are on a collision course. IMO the clear two best teams in the AFC. The Bills could be a wildcard if they make the playoffs.

I'm sorry, but if any fans whatsoever are watching this team and saying to themselves "man Mahomes has lost some good will with me," then I would suggest we not cater to their impulses.

Speaking of the Chiefs being the team other teams don't want to face, I hope the Bills make the playoffs and do the same thing. I like their fans and think they have a helluva team. I'll be rooting for them when they're not playing the Chiefs.

I disagree. Part of what I love about Mahomes is that he's such a great role model for young athletes, because he combines great talent with an incredible competitiveness while being impeccably classy. He strayed a little from that on Sunday. I believe that he had some justification for it, given that the officials hadn't said or done anything about where Toney was lining up earlier in the game, when he was similarly offside, but he didn't need to be yelling like he was and he damn sure didn't need to be throwing his helmet, as those things are not meant to be slammed into the ground and become less safe--at least they were back in the old days when I played football and rode motorcycles, and I doubt they are much more survivable now.
On the other hand, if Mahomes is going to go off, I can sure understand and forgive him for doing it in the heat of the competitive moment. He's still my all-time favorite athlete and I hope that when I'm older, I'll be rooting for other great athletes who took after him.

I don't mean the Mahomes haters, who are rampant on reddit.com/r/nfl. I'm talking about the fairminded ones and especially the kids. Of course, as a society, we've already ****ed the kids over by exposing them to constant gambling ads during sports telecasts, so maybe I should give give up hope for them, but I won't!
