This is why I a curious to see how this victory at Arrowhead, one that sent us to our first Super Bowl in 50 years, would stack up against Super Bowl 57.

I lucked into getting plane tickets at the last minute and drove into Lawrence with two buddies by 2 am the night before that game — and it was one of the most exhilarating experiences of my life. As crazy as it is to admit it, I’m not sure Super Bowl 57 tops seeing Mahomes and Andy deliver a Super Bowl birth to KC in person against the Titans that day.

Super bowls obviously hold more value. However, that divisional comeback/blowout against the Texans was what started everything. What a game that was!

Thats the game I come back to the most.

Something about how the crowd exploded even when we were losing 24-7 and 24-14. It felt like we were winning even when we were down 10. Its like Arrowhead could sense that the comeback was very real and the Texans were ****ed.
I just can't believe we were winning by halftime. Unbelievable game.

I was fortunate enough to be at both that game and the 13 seconds game.

Both are probably 2 of the top 3-4 sporting events I’ve ever been to.

I’m trying my best to get to Arrowhead as many times as I can over the next decade.

We’re never going to see a QB like this for our team again. I’m trying to take in as much as I can while we have him.

It was like the universe threw every Chiefs playoff cliche from the previous 25 years into that game.

Our star defensive lineman who could neutralize the Texans offense? Out from a locker room basketball injury that got all the typical KC shockjocks outraged before the game. Star WR’s dropping passes, uncharacteristic blown coverages, and that patented special teams screw up that lead to a TD. That 0-24 deficit in the 2nd quarter looked like every single immovable object that sent us home in the playoffs for the previous 2+ decades.

But then Patrick Mahomes took the field, and was the unstoppable force that all of the demons of franchise past could not contain.

The play that changed that game was the Sorensen tackle on the fake punt.

After that, we were all just kind of like “oooohhhhhh shit.”

I’ve never felt the stadium rock like that. Like others have said, it was 50 years of frustration being unleashed in a steadfast refusal to lose again.

The whole team fed on it and Houston was scared shitless.

I mean the Texans completely shit their pants when they felt momentum shift and we smelled blood in the water and absolutely bludgeoned them.

It was just awesome.

These are the conversations I was craving with this tournament.

As huge as Dirty Dan’s tackle was, Mahomes turning complete chicken shit into a rotisserie on two straight third and goals to punch in TD’s to Kelce may have been the biggest moments of the game for me.

I feel like with previous Chiefs QB’s, we take three field goals in those situations and we go into the half THRILLED that we’re down 24-13 even thought we’d be on the way to another hard luck January loss.

But Patrick summoning the avatar state made the Texans start to panic on the field with a lead. I’ve never seen anything like it. BOB calling the fake punt up 17, Hopkins doing a desperation lateral back to Watson up 3, and BOB doing the thousand yard stare despite being up 24-21 late in the 2nd quarter felt like we had already flipped the tables on decades of playoff futility. It was surreal.

I think a big part of why the crowd and all of us felt so confident that the game would flip as soon as we got rolling was from last year's afc with the patriots. I mean we were held scoreless for a half and exploded.

All it took was that first td and we were snapped out of all those memories of the past crushing losses and reminded that "oh yeah. We have Patrick mahomes."

Round 1 has finished, with 13 seconds, the 51-31 Chiefs Houston Come back, and Chiefs/Colts cursebreaking home playoff win advancing to the next round.

Round 2 starts today with the 4 seed Chiefs/Titans and 5 seed Chiefs/Bills AFC Championships facing off today. In this round, I'm curious to see how the Chiefs/Bengals redemption AFC Championship game stacks up against 13 seconds, as well as how the 51-31 Chiefs/Houston game fares against the Chiefs/Niners game.

We're to the FINAL FOUR.

By far the most competitive game of Round 2 was 13 Seconds vs. the Bengals Redemption Game. After several lead changes the Redemption Game clinched with a 35-30 victory.

The Super Bowls are the obvious favorites going into the final four. But can the first AFC Championship in Kansas City pull off an upset against the Eagles Game? Can a pivotal Championship rivalry win and narrative setting win over Burrow and the Bengals challenge the 49ers win? And if the finals round does end up being Super Bowl 57 vs. Super Bowl 54 -- who do you take then?

This was fun. The tournament concluded with the Super Bowl 54 win over the Niners taking a 49-42 win over Super Bowl 57's win over the Eagles.

The Chiefs win over the Bengals took the AFC Championship final over the Titans win while 13 seconds took the Divisional Crown over the Texans Comeback (the Steelers win also took the Wild Card crown over multiple bye weeks).

Spoiler!

Thanks for making this some fun offseason content. It was amazing to sit back and really appreciate that in 5 seasons, Mahomes has already put together such a high volume of iconic performances that it made it legitimately difficult to decide between them.

I'll be taking a step back for a bit. Not due to being disgruntled or anything, but my wife and I are welcoming kid #2 (a daughter) to the world in the next few days. I'll still be around, but under water for a bit adjusting to being a parent of two. I appreciate y'all for giving me something fun to do while my wife, toddler and I have been all in on nesting to get ready for the next step in our family life!
