Newly discovered full broadcast of SB IV in color

It's fun to watch Chiefs legends in actual play by play scenarios.

I remember watching the game in the student union on a 24" color TV with about 200 other people. I could have watched it at my dorm on our 21" B&W, but I'd had already been lucky once (1st draft lottery) and didn't want to jinx the Chiefs.

By today's standards, the offensive stats were pretty pedestrian. Dawson had less than 150 yards with only 1 TD. But the 1 TD was to Otis Taylor and his rumble will beg the question "Why isn't this guy on the HoF????" Of course my favorite play was MR. Willie Lanier's INT.

As a side note, Joe Kapp never played another game for the Vikes.

Id forgot how sloppy the field was after the morning rains at the Cotton BowlTulane Stadium. The eagles would still be whining today if it had been them.

I also forgot Hank after the game searching out Bud Grant to shake hands to no avail. No wonder I could never stand that one who sucks the penis.

Pabst Blue Ribbon beer was one of the sponsors. I would not have guessed that. I always heard PBR lost out to AB cause PBR wasn't into marketing, and that AB gained a lot from being involved with sports. Here PBR was the sponsor of the Super Bowl.

Very interesting.

Some interesting things from this game.

Chiefs were definitely RB by Commitee.

Very successful at the Jet Sweep before it was called Jet Sweep.

Love all the pre-snap movement, especially out of the Power-i.

RBs lined up much closer to the QB and LOS than they do now.

Chiefs secondary were definitely ball hawks.

Jerrel Wilson could punt like no other. His style would be unconventional today.

Lenny could thread the needle on some tight coverages.

We won!

I liked Johnny Robinson's comments about Lenny. It seems the gambling BS really got to him. He barely left his room for a couple days and then got out of his funk and played great.

Jack Whitaker narrating the pregame and John Facenda the highlights. This is my youth and it’s amazing.
