A new Warpaint?
I know he doesnt like horses, but maybe the Spirit of Haglund can transform into the Horse Spirit. He loves cheering so much he could become our new Warpaint. Why have a horse when you could have Eric Berry on all 4s carrying around one of KCs beautiful Chiefs cheerleaders. I guess if he wants to do that he can be on the field. Hell, if he wants to really get into character and even shit on the field like a real horse he can. Just think of all the hope and inspiration he could provide to the fans, who are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the guys who actually want to play and contribute to the team. I can just imagine sitting (too fat to stand the whole game) in the stands next to a father and his young boy, its his first game and hes about to burst with excitement, the father tells his son to look towards the tunnel.
All of that excitement turns to terror and confusion. "Dad! Why is that but-her-face riding around on a naked hobo?!", shrieks the boy. Calmly the dad explains "her name is Emma and that is no hobo, that is one of Kansas City's most inspirational people, Eric "Warpaint" Berry and he survived cancer". The father continues to explain Eric's story and how his spirit could no longer allow him to play football, so Eric had to become something (in spirit) that he once feared, a horse. The little boy begins to fill with inspiration and is ready for the game to begin. All seemed to be going well until the crowd erupts as Eric trots onto the field with Emma proudly mounted to his back. Eric gets spooked, bucks Emma to the ground, and gallops back into the tunnel. Still the Chiefs know they have found the man for the job. This is a process and have to take it day to day. |
