He is respected as number 2. But I have no doubt if Lamar played that Baltimore game the Ravens would have won. Doesn’t make Lamar better than Burrow. All I’m saying is Burrow doesn’t have to be spectacular to win games with how well the Bengals are built, and to his absolute credit he doesn’t make many mistakes. But I also think Herbert may have achieved similar success if he was on that same team and not a bumbling Chargers organization.

Have to respectfully disagree. While the Chargers are a clown show, I have seen nothing from Sherbert that leads me to believe that he has that moxie or that “it”. He is talented no doubt but I have not seen anything from him that shows he can consistently carry a team. We can blame the coaching staff for their playoff loss to the Jags but Sherbert did not play that good. He was gifted a short field all the first half and only got 27 points. Once the momentum shifted, Sherbert was unable to stop it.

I am coming across as a Herbert fan when I’m very far from it. The point I was trying to make was Burrow is closer to Herbert than he is to Mahomes in my humble opinion.

In the game you reference, Herbert’s top receiver literally had a broken back and they basically forgot to run the ball. Not to mention Bosa having a meltdown. Burrow in his wins hasn’t really showed much ‘moxy’ apart from in pre or post game interviews, and I’m sure the team has rallied around him as a leader which is creditable. But I can’t recall a single game where his actual gameplay won them a game or he was required to do that. Burrow is getting away with the ‘moxy’ because his team is backing it up, he will be flirting with the ‘Mayfield’ line when he doesn’t have a premier team and they don’t actually win as much.

Nah, Herbert lacks the cut-throat killer instinct Mahomes and Burrow have. Brady had it, Montana had it, but very few do.

And couldn't beat him earlier this year.

I'm not saying we can't win this game-but I think Burrow has earned respect. Herbert has done nothing, no signature wins, and a .500 record. That's not even close to a decent comp.

Allen? Hasn't beat Burrow. Neither has Mahomes, in three tries.

Give the respect where it's due and let's go beat his ass!
Agree but it is true. The guy has 3 number one wide outs at receiver. He also has an excellent TE.

Mahomes had tyreek and kelce and he did have Watkins at one point but over all burrow has had unreal fire power since he's been relevant. Even then he struggled early on.

I know people used to say that about mahomes and reek etc. But burrow 100 percent drops off once he doesn't have that stable of thoroughbreds there. If he doesn't then he's on mahomes level and I'll shut up.

That being said they are well coached as well. This games a toss up and mahomes ankle the x factor. If we beat them this weekend with a less than 100 percent mahomes to go to the SB then it makes up for it. Meanwhile clock's ticking for them. Mahomes has proven he can get to the afccg with less. Jury still out for burrow.

Three number one's is a bit of a stretch. Boyd is in the running for best slot WR in the league but he'd suck as a 1. Also, you're overvaluing Hurst a little. He's okay. If he was excellent, he wouldn't be on his third team. Burrow is good, there's no denying it. He can be beat, obviously, but he's gonna be a PIA for the next decade.

Pass rush. Burrow gets shut down plenty with a strong pass rush. Sperbowl, ravens wildcard game...I think he's the 2nd best qb in the league though and will be a problem for us but I actually think the bigger issue is their physical defense. Like the titans they give us fits.

Burrow is great. But…Let’s be clear, it’s a team game. I think Cincy has a better defense and we saw it on Sunday with them holding a very good Buffalo offense to only 10 points. Burrow's defense has repeatedly done remarkable stuff to help him the last couple years.

Burrow's QBR in the playoffs last year was 51/100 which is nothing special. He did nothing special against the Ravens two weeks ago and the defense gave him a win on that 99 yard fumble return TD. Burrow was legitimately great on Sunday against Buffalo. I expect him to have another strong game against a KC defense that isn’t able to cover or tackle like they need to, and they can’t get enough pass rush on Burrow.

Last year's Josh Allen is. The only thing you can really point to is his elbow.

Jeff George had a stronger arm than Allen.

Allen is a better passer than Newton ever was.

He had a bad season by his standards but I still would say he is tier 1.

I mean who would you put above him?
