I personally wouldn't over think it. JK Dobbins is Ohio States second all-time leading rusher behind only the two-time Heisman trophy winner Archie Griffin in Dobbins' only three years on campus (would have surpassed Griffin had he returned for his senior year). Also an accomplished pass catcher with 71 career receptions. IMO he's the most well-rounded and accomplished back in the draft. Would love to see what Mahomes can do with a potential superstar in the backfield.

Pretty sure it was $4,500,000 for a 365 day contract.

Yeah, cool. But is it 4.5 with incentives or 4.5 guaranteed?

He'd be a helluva weapon out of the backfield. Natural pass catcher.
Yeah we're never gonna run like the Ravens...but I do wonder what Andy would do IF he had an elite back to work with? Kareem got a lot of touches when he played with Pat and Williams got a lot of work in the super bowl so maybe he's changing?

Anyway I think the team love Dobbins tbh...it's gonna be interesting to see who they get in the end. My money is on Dobbins, Clyde-Edwards, Mcfarland and Moss...I think it will be one of those.

could be, but my money is on Gibson in the 4th.

I just think he's a perfect fit for US but not necessarily everyone, which will drop him to us.

Chiefs ran for 129 in the Super Bowl. The run-heavy Niners ran for like 12 more.

Hell, they out-rushed the Texans and Titans as well.

Numbers are skewed by long run in the 4th. Need to be able to get 3 yards minimum on most runs and not get stopped for a loss so much.

Numbers are skewed by a valid data point?

Fine, take out a legitimate data point. What do you suppose Williams' average was WITHOUT that run?

How many times did Damien Williams get stopped for a loss in the Super Bowl?

How many times did Raheem Mostert get stopped for a loss in the Super Bowl?

It's strange with Gibson because he hasn't really been linked to anyone so yeah, He'll probably be there in the fourth for sure. My only concern is Gibson never met with the team at the combine. Dobbins, Clyde-Edwards, Moss and Mcfarland did though. I'm gonna watch more tape of Gibson...just want to know how good he is between the tackles. He's certainly the best route runner of the whole bunch, that's for sure.

To get anywhere close to the actual avg carry, you have to take out the longest run. And the shortest/negative run, for that matter.

With all carries accounted for, Damien ran for 104 yards, an average of 6.1 yds/carry. Subtract out the 38 yd carry at the end (which makes it even less relevant, since the 49ers were essentially already beaten at that point), and Damien averaged 4.1 yds/carry, which is still good. Just not the 6.1 yds./carry the raw stats would have you believe.

But 4.1 yds/carry is pretty good for any game by any back. And a lot better than Damien's average through the first 8 or so games of the season.

Is it possible if the season doesn't happen that the league could make some kind of deal with the players to the effect of - we'll pay all of you X amount - but all contracts are frozen until next year - as if this year never happened?

Cuz we are built to win in 2020 - and that would be cool.
