I’m not on the Settle bandwagon unless we need a true NT. I am full on Nate Shepherd/BJ Hill right now.

BJ Hill killed the combine and has played very well against good competition, so if you want more of a sure thing than a small school guy like Shepherd this is your guy.

I highly doubt Harrison Phillips or Taven Bryan will be there at 54.

Love that! Really like Jackson and Settle. Not a fan of Sweat however. Just didn’t seem to play with fire when I watched some. I’ll watch some more later and see if other games are different.

Shepherd got more fun as I watched. Loved his effort and he can rush the passer. He was playing NT and was doubled a lot. When he’s one on one, he can dominate

All good man wasn’t criticizing ya lol. Ya my buddy told me about this Matt Miller mock and said James Washington. I just said damn we need so much on defense. Shit I like Chark from LSU if we could get him in round 3.

I would be so pissed off if this franchise uses our first pick on a goddamn receiver
Jesus! He had KC passing on good defensive talent. No thanks. Glad Matt Miller doesn’t run the Chiefs. If kc passes on Tim Settle twice in round 3 I’ll be pissed off.

At 310 lbs, Chris Jones ran a 5.03 40 and 7.44 3 cone.

At 315 lbs, BJ Hill ran a 4.99 40 and 7.28 3 cone. **** Tim Settle

So ****ing crazy. A 7.28 3 cone is what slow receivers and fast TE’s run. My God Andy has to have an enormous chubb.

We’re going DL in rd 2 guys. No way does Andy pass on a guy like this

My guess is either DL or S.

That’s great and all but Hill’s tape is nowhere near as impressive as Settle’s, and Hill had 3 other future NFL players on his DL.

Don’t get me wrong, I like Hill, but I don’t see those measurements quite translating on the football field.

I don't really care what a DL did at the combine.

Depends on FA really. If we sign Star Lotulelei to be our NT, Settle isn’t really a need. I’m not really seeing Settle for our defense as a 5 tech.

Surprised you haven’t mentioned Kendrick Norton from Da U. I think he could be a solid NT and you can get him in the mid rounds.

I agree with that.

I’ve mentioned Norton a couple of times, but I’m just so sold on DL earlier that it hasn’t been much. If we still need a NT in the middle rounds I will definitely be pounding the table for him!

Even evaluators say don’t get too caught up in the combine numbers. Haven’t watched Hill. I will tonight. But I watched Settle and loved him.
