I don't entirely agree with that. His defense wasnt nearly this bad even when we kept losing Hali, Houston, berry, dj to injury. Even when we were starting Fleming and Gaines.

I think Suttons incompetence is more due to Sutton having no idea how to adjust to the NFL every year increasing emphasis on pass interference.

You can only lead the horse to the water. The blown coverages they have is insane, look at the 2-pt play. Thats a simple 2x2 switch when receivers are in a nasty split + compressed. You can coach them up all you want, but if they are not retaining the info what else can you do? They played so much better in the first half that its hard not to see how much of an influence Berry has in adjusting the scheme on the field and/or reminding people who to cover.

We've turned the defense over personnel wise probably 99 percent since he's been here. Players they were good on other teams come here and are instant trash

I think the Chiefs have resigned themselves to the mindset that they can't blame Bob (either) because they focused on putting together a high-scoring offense (), and Bob's best player was unavailable for two years until half of last night. In the Chiefs "we're the league's nice team" way, that means you can't blame Bob.

Simply put, the Chiefs hardly ever "blame" anybody, that's a game they'll other teams do, but they aren't playing that game. They're determined to be known around the league as the team that's attractive because they're loyal, even if to a fault.

Bob's job is safe, at least until the end of the year when, I thought I heard, his contract is up. Hunt's not going to let him go and give one of his assistants a shot. Even though we know it can't get worse.
