Antonio Brown missed practices, game after dispute with teammate

https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/...s/201812310108

Steelers receiver Antonio Brown did not play in the season-ending game against the Cincinnati Bengals because he elected to sit out practice last week after an unspecified heated dispute with a teammate, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette has learned.

Several sources said the Steelers’ decision to not play Brown against the Bengals had nothing to do with any type of knee injury.

The disagreement occurred Wednesday morning during a routine walk-through practice that precedes their regular afternoon practice on the South Side. Brown became disgusted and threw a football in anger at one of his teammates, several sources said.

After that, Brown did not practice the rest of the week. According to a source, it was Brown’s decision not to practice with his teammates.

He did not attend Saturday’s walk-through practice and skipped the Saturday night meeting at the team hotel — the latest in missed meetings by the All-Pro receiver. Brown was never on the field for the start of the game against the Bengals and left Heinz Field at halftime, according to multiple sources.

According to several sources, Brown showed up at Heinz Field expecting to play against the Bengals. That surprised several players, including one who called the situation “embarrassing” and “the worst I’ve seen.” That player said the entire situation and the way it was handled affected his desire to play in the game.

Technically, it's a Korean show.

I didn't watch the premiere, but These kind of oddball pseudo-gameshows are miles better than the "reality" tv shows that are ubiquitous. Also beats the hell out of these tired talent competition shows. When I was in Paris, my wife and I watched a show where the whole point was for a panel to guess the age of a random person. Of course they wore strange outfits and such to throw off the guesser, but it was actually a lot of fun to watch. Even in a language I don't speak. This reminds me of that.

And now this blurb...

The faster Dion Sanders goes away the better off the NFL will be. They have absolutely ruined the post game shows on the NFL Network with him. Please just stop with that jackass.

He's not wrong, though. Antonio Brown is such a selfish and immature douchebag that JuJu Smith-Schuster receiving team MVP probably did piss him off. Blaming the Steelers for it is pretty ****ing dumb, though.

Read through Brown's story there is a ton of ego and butthurt that is never going away. You know who he is and what you have to do to deal with that.

Dion would know because they both have similar egos.

Brown grew up a poor kid in the Liberty City ghetto that got his scholarship yanked, he'll probably never really escape that.

In Lamar's first road game, it was in Atlanta and they tried that, he didn't run at all in the first half and we fell behind. There were times when he rolled out and the first down was maybe 5 yards and I'm yelling run, and he throws an incomplete pass to a guy that's covered. At halftime of that game, they changed and he came out and ran all Atlanta and we won game 26-16. I'm just hoping he can become something like Deshaun Watson, he's getting there, it just takes time.

He broke the record for most rushes by a QB since the merger. He didn't even start half of the season. That is unsustainable.

Why would anybody want Hayley, after Cleveland fired him and Hue Jackson, Baker Mayfield started winning games. Although I hope he goes back to the Steelers, I saw him on Hard Knocks and he seemed like a real jerk. I could tell him and Greg Williams didn't get along too well.

BTW, how could they had guessed AB was the singer, when I don't even know his talking voice unless I see him talking, much less singing with a mask on. When he took that mask off, most people must of said, who is that? As Dion would sing, it was the prima donna.

He sucked. He did not really sing. Just "sang" over the words-like what the rest of us do in a car.
