I read somewhere that if they do an injury settlement that there would be some cap relief.

This is gonna get messy, though. It’s why owners should let the people they hire do their jobs.

Clark stepped in on 2 deals...Bowe and Berry...and was lucky Bowe ****ed himself or that deal would have screwed KCs cap too.

I say cut him with post June 1st designation and move on.

None of what you just said discredits what I said. You're the biggest dumbass here. A reasonable player who signed a recordbreaking contract but was unable to perform at all for the life of the contract would agree to an injury settlement. Eric Berry is selfish and isn't a reasonable player. Berry has made roughly $90 million in his career so far and will end up making almost $140 million when it's all said and done despite only being available roughly half the time. A reasonable player would see that their contract is hurting the team and agree to a reduced salary to help the team. Hell, Berry is making more than Tom Brady at this point. Let that sink in.

You mean the same sore heel that caused him to overcompensate and blow out his Achilles in the other foot a year prior?

He wasn't 💯 healthy. Even if you're in denial and unwilling to admit it, the bone spurs almost certainly date back to 2017 or earlier. How else do you explain heel pain in the same foot during 2017 preseason?

And getting the surgery in augior September is a huge difference. He'd possibly be healthy by the spring and his contract wouldn't be guaranteed for injury. Now he will likely miss all of OTAs and minicamp and we'll go into another preseason questioning his availability and day to day status.

The difference is he would have just missed this season and would have hopefully been ready to return at the start of next season.

Now if he has the surgery, with an 8-10 month recovery time, he will miss at least the start (and probably more) of next season.
