This is the most I've liked Skyler since she was giving Walt a birthday handjob in the first episode. She's awesome now.

I relish every time that Skyler and/or Marie are in a scene.

There isn't enough Marie this season it seems like.
Seems like it's been a little light on Jesse somehow, too. |

1) Magnets Bitch! 2) The White Family Dinner with Jesse as guest. Both of those were just excellent Jesse/Aaron Paul moments.

ALot of these serial type shows the actors are only contracted to work a certain number of episodes per season. Thats why you will see them disappear for an episode or two, or you might get a "Filler" episode like season 3 "Fly"

I feel like Season 5-A issupposed to be a complete character assassination of Walt, so he's deserving of whatever will become of him in the second half. If anything, the consistent portrayal of Mike as anything other than "the Cleaner"-- he's now a caring Grandfather?-- serves to bolster the idea that Walt has lost any sense of the morality with which he started the series. the "Madman Walt" tilt will be completely formed following next week's episode, and there will likely be a dense Walt v Jesse plotline in the next half. I think Gilligan knew he had to prolong this season into two halves, so he's deliberately used the first half to justify the second. I partially understand Reaper's complaints about forcing the plot, but a suspension of disbelief is really necessary- and expected- at the end of any successful, heavily scrutinized serial.

I didn't feel it was that forced, Mike had tried to kill Walt a couple of times now, and the way Mike was just acting like Walt is a hack was bound to lead to something violent. The parts I've found interesting is that Jesse has been the idea man, magnets, how to rip off the train, that Walt is going to be lost without him.
