It's almost comical in some ways what people try to come up with to bash the Cardinals organization. I'm not a Matheny fan either so I guess using him as fodder is one of their best options right now. Not a lot of negative things that you can say about this organization, especially over the last ten years.

Anyway, hope to catch the Chiefs for a few days of training camp and then roll into St. Louis for a Cardinals game or two. Anyone been through Ballpark Village yet? Any recommendations?

Sure i am, but ask any of the guys in this thread if i ever trolled them? I actually talk to them about baseball. Besides the Dodgers are about to start a 3 game series with the Cardinals.

I have much respect for their organization. They do it right.

Yes they do, but their fans are spoiled. The Matheny situation reminds me of 49er fans who thought it might be time to fire Harbaugh because they didn't think he could get them over the hump.

Haren blows. He's supposed to be an extreme control pitcher but he's been not painting the corners and giving up meat all year. Coletti still needs to pull the trigger and bring in another #2 or #3 guy. You can never have enough pitching.

He always always gives up the big home run shot always with men on base. He tends to leave his 87 mph fastballl right down the plate. He's given up 20 home runs this year. He's just not a good pitcher.
