The one position for the Panthers I wanted to address in this draft that I didn't is defensive line. It just never seemed like the value matched where my pick was. Anyway, we'll add some depth here and see if the kid can make the team. He had great production in college, was a first team all-ACC player with 77 tackles, 10.5 TFL and six sacks as a senior, but is a bit undersized at 6'2", 290. Could be a penetrating undertackle though. The Panthers select Nate Collins, DT, Virginia.

Drafts for the Panthers and Bengals are wrapped up, and here's what we ended up with:

Bengals
1. Mike Iupati, G, Idaho
2. Reshad Jones, S, Georgia
3. Dexter McCluster, WR/RB, Mississippi
4. D'Anthony Smith, DT, Louisiana Tech
4. Ed Dickson, TE, Oregon
5. Brandon Lang, DE, Troy
6. Dezmon Briscoe, WR, Kansas
7. Leigh Tiffin, K, Alabama

Wish the comp picks would have come out a little sooner. That other 3rd for the Bengals would have been nice.

Panthers
2. Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech
3. Austen Lane, DE, Murray State
4. Rennie Curran, OLB, Georgia
6. Jarrett Brown, QB, West Virginia
6. Blair White, WR, Michigan State
6. Brandon Banks, KR, Kansas State
7. Jeff Byers, C/OG, USC
7. Nate Collins, DT, Virginia

The Patriots finish up with a small school sleeper at another weak position. This guy has the size to be a good blocking TE, but he also has some receiving chops, hauling in 51 passes for almost 600 yards and 13 TDs his senior year.

The New England Patriots select, Nathan Overbay, TE, Eastern Washington

First off wanted to say thanks to OnTheWarpath and Mecca for making this happen every year. Feel like this was one of the best mocks we've ever had and I'm already looking forward to next year. Anyway, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Colin Peek, TE, Alabama

Anyone interested in running back through the 1st and possibly 2nd round with the knowledge of trades and signings?

You gotta think things are going to change early with the McNabb trade.

Who's game? We can start on Monday.

Do I get the Eagles still? Or are we going to shake things up?

Keep your teams.

I'll make changes to the draft order for R1 and R2, and we have the knowledge of trades and signings we didn't have last month.

And as CC said, who gives a shit if we don't finish the 2nd? Or even the 1st for that matter. Just for fun.

Cool....someone remind Mecca when this new one starts so he can actually pause his real life (Magnums FTW!!!) and make his pick for the Redskins.

Well, interesting draft. Comparing where I picked these guys against where they went in the real draft is pretty interesting. A few of the guys I got steals on in the mock (McCluster, Smith, Dickson, Thomas, Curran), and I completely bombed on others compared to where they were or weren't drafted (Lang, Brown, Jones, White, etc.).

All in all, this was fun to do, so thanks for letting me in it. Will be interesting to see how these guys perform for the next few years. Below, I have where I drafted them, and to the right of the player, I have listed what round and overall pick they actually went at in the NFL draft.

Bengals
1 (21). Mike Iupati, G, Idaho (1-17)
2 (54). Reshad Jones, S, Georgia (5-163)
3 (84). Dexter McCluster, WR/RB, Mississippi (2-36)
4 (120). D'Anthony Smith, DT, Louisiana Tech (3-74)
4 (131). Ed Dickson, TE, Oregon (3-70)
5 (152). Brandon Lang, DE, Troy (Undrafted)
6 (191). Dezmon Briscoe, WR, Kansas (6-191) NAILED this one!
7 (228). Leigh Tiffin, K, Alabama (Undrafted)

Panthers
2 (48). Demaryius Thomas, WR, Georgia Tech (1-22)
3 (78). Austen Lane, DE, Murray State (5-153)
4 (112). Rennie Curran, OLB, Georgia (3-97)
6 (175). Jarrett Brown, QB, West Virginia (Undrafted)
6 (202). Blair White, WR, Michigan State (Undrafted)
6 (204). Brandon Banks, KR, Kansas State (Undrafted)
7 (223). Jeff Byers, C/OG, USC (Undrafted)
7 (249). Nate Collins, DT, Virginia (Undrafted)
