OK, here's the deal...

As much fun as all of the controversy has been the last couple days, the mods have discussed all of this craziness (yes, there are enough of us to have discussion now!) and decided to clarify a few things. So...here ya go.
  1. The rules aren't changing. They're the same as they've been for years.
  2. We WILL be trying to enforce them a little more consistently. Things like bypassing the filters and threats will be handled when reported, and sometimes when they're not. Just depends on how cranky we are.
  3. However, we aren't going to go banning people on sight unless they either refuse to comply or have been a repeat offender. You'll get a warning or two if you're doing something that's iffy.
  4. The infractions system is not meant to be used to rapid-fire infractions to get someone banned. Anyone who uses them for that purpose (unless you're killing spammers) will lose the privs immediately.
That said, Hootie fully reinstated and can consider this a warning that he went too far. CC can consider this a warning not to abuse the infractions system (as can H5N1). GoChiefs would be unbanned as well, but you can't come back screaming "**** the mods" and expect that to be all fine and dandy. However, his sentence is being reduced back to two weeks. He needs some time to work on his next video anyway.

I know this whole deal has been a bit of a mess, but just wanted to reemphasize that nothing's changing. In general, don't be a douchebag, and you'll be fine. The end.

pretty sure it transcends just morally wrong and is clearly in the ILLEGAL category.

I read that as: I asked the roommate if "Em" had put her up to that, to which she denied.

Because in the next sentence, he says that he made his way over to Em. He couldn't have asked Em without making his way over there first.

That's my point. If the roommate denied "Em" putting her up to it, how is that evidence of desire on Em's part? You make that implication:

Yeah, judging him based on the things he trumpets about with obvious joy and pride. Funny, I don't remember being gleeful about getting divorced, or proud that I had a drug problem. Yeah, I've dealt with some shit in my life. Probably would have killed a pussy like you, but I'm pretty resilient. I overcame, adapted, moved on. Happily married for 10 years now, clean for 15, have a good job, a good life, and I did it all on my own. I'm not really sure why you think that makes me a bad person, but somehow I think not rating the approval of an asshole like you is probably a good thing.

And unlike certain eternally anonymous twats who infest this place and hide behind the veil of cyberspace and cast barbs at those who don't (I'm totally awesome - trust me!), these things can actually be verified.

If you have sex with a passed out women who has no clue what is happening, has not given consent beforehand...thats rape. At least in my book.

One time when I was 17 at a party some guy was ****ing a "party" girl. She had been flirting with everyone, was drunk when she showed up. But I made a wrong turn trying to find the bathroom and there he was going at it and she was totally out of it. A limp rag. I don't him to stop. He didn't. i warned him again. I roundhoused kicked him off and broke two of his ribs. I went and got her friends and they got some guys to carry her out and took her to the hospital for alchohol poisioning. I saw him at a party about 6 months later and I kicked his ass again just on general principle.

No, I'm saying Em did not tell the friend to go ask.

Thats like me saying I want to play football.

That doesn't mean I put you up to telling Haley to let me on the team.

I'll vouch for Frazod. He turned me on to some of the best beer I've ever had. As far as friends go....the one that introduces you to one of your favorite beers is a friend for life.

DISCLAIMER: Hootie was wrong with ****ing that girl

I'm not defending it. I'm just saying that it wasn't rape from the info we have.

Then where's the evidence in that thread that "Em" told her friend she wanted the sex?

I guess that means I'm a drunk, too. Saul will certainly think so, and he's right about everything.
