*.* NEW- 2014 General Fitness Thread *.*
I guess we filled up the old one... http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=280149
Welcome to 2014! Now get your ass in top physical condition! No one else started it so here it is! **From the 2013 Thread** If you want to get back into lifting, or need a new lifting routine, START HERE: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi...inner_Programs If you have questions about the SS programs, look here: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started. Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE: http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point. |

I just watched a bunch of Elliott Hulse's videos on YouTube. In one vid he was talking about deadlifting "well over 600 lbs".
I don't feel like a man any more. |

If you're just starting, you should be able to increase every week without any problem. If you've been lifting for longer, every 3-4 weeks. Longer than that, and you'll be happy with every month or two with a small increase. |

So the way your body sees it, your supplementing your testosterone via a shot, so it says "hey boys, slow down on producing T, there is enough free T in the bloodstream". So they slow or stop production depending on how much free T you have. This is why its important to have bloodwork done. Your going to have your natural production slowed down to a crawl whether you take 100mg/week or 700mg/week because usually 100-200mg/week will get you to the UPPER range of your bodys natural limit. Also, most guys on TRT will "blast and cruise". what this means is your on your normal TRT dose, lets say 150mg/week. For short 4-8 week bursts, you go up to 5/6/7mg/week to gain a little more mass, then go back down to TRT level. What this does is allow you to keep a good portion of what you gained. Normally guys will jump on 500mg/week "cycle" and then when they come off, guess what? gains go BYE-BYE because your T levels CRASHED and you have no hormone to SUPPORT all the new muscle. I don't carry anything NEAR the size I had back in college when I was experimenting. I am open about this stuff and I feel steroids get a bad rap because of the amount of MISUSE from kids doing absolutely zero research. I think low dose test is absolutely fine, and you can cycle in smaller 'blasts' if so desire. My cycle "history": college football era as a freshman I did a stupid first 10 cycle of 1g/week Sustanon. For those of you that dont know, Sust is a mix of different Test esters, all of which have different half-lifes. Estrogen fluctuated too frequently, making me a strong, horny and over sensitive son of a bitch. Did no research, did not PCT at all, and learned the hard way on how to recover natural production back. fast forward into my 30's, I started to get serious with powerlifting, and had tested on the 'lower range' of natural T, so I sad why not try some stuff before getting on TRT. Did my homework, bought some books about anabolics and how the body reacts to these chemicals/hormones, and did some very light cycles. 400mg/wk Test propinate, 50mg/day proviron - ran this for 12 weeks straight. Awesome gains with zero bloating. PCT correctly, kept about 65% of the strength I gained. Libido was insane due to the proviron. proviron also has anti-estrogen properties which is why I love it and wish more people would use this. Waited another 4 months or so and tried the SAME thing but with ANOTHER compound added, to see how my body reacted. 400mg/wk test prop, 50mg/day proviron, 300mg/week NPP (nandrolone phenyl prop). The NPP was no joke. strength went through the roof, way too fast. Problem with that is your JOINTS cant keep up with that. Stopped mid cycle as my elbow tendonitis was insane. Waited 2 years after that, had two kids, then got on TRT. My insurance doesn't cover ANY of it, so I basically buy from a trusted UGL (some guy making it in his sink probably) and run 50mg, sometimes 75mg of test prop EoD or every third day, depending on how busy life is. I get frequent bloodwork done to make sure everything is working accordingly. I ended up separating my shoulder getting back into powerlifting, so now I just 'train to look good'. All of this is just my opinion, but I like throwing this info out there for people that are looking for real life experience with the stuff. I have friends that do WAY TOO MUCH and there is no way in hell I am going down that route. |

What do you mean by "blood work"? What, specifically, are you testing for? How often are you performing that test? And how do you make the arrangement? Do you just walk into the doctor's office and say, "I'm on trt, please test my blood".
