Get whatever we can for Larry in the offseason...and if that's nothing, see ya...we're a better team without that cancer...as much as I hate to say it because I really liked Larry Johnson.

Charles is a keeper, draft another runner in the 3rd or 4th round next year that is the thunder to Charles' lightning...we've seen that rookie backs are easy to find in today's game.

At this point, Herm needs to tell LJ he isn't going to be a featured back, and if he doesn't accept that role he'll be inactive for the rest of the season.

Plain and simple.

LJ is a cancer and needs to be kicked to the curb

I agree with you. Herm didn't perform well as a coach, but my argument was for the 2 point conversion. Might as well go for it and teach the kids stresfull moments. I think it was good for the whole team, coaches included.

We need a leader to step up and convince these guys that the losing is Herm's fault and that as soon as he is gone the team will start winning. Dick Curl could redeem himself by playing this role for the team.

Yes, it sucks that we lost... that always sucks. But this team is clearly getting better. If you can't see that, you're blind.
EXACTLY.

But it should also seem clear there's been some...I don't know...SHIFT, the last 3 weeks.

Definitely on offense.

And make fun of Gun all you want but for 1 week that man overachieved like you wouldn't believe. And with a bunch of scrub and at best 3rd string guys...

Yep. Draft a Brandon Jacobs type runner in the 3rd, 4th or 5th round...running backs are so easy to find these days that the only guys that will be seeing LJ type contracts ever again are the LT's, Westbrook's and Reggie Bush's...no more giving big contracts to LJ's and Alexanders...

Thigpen continues to impress me...injuries on defense and hanging in there is a good sign for you guys. The only negative I see is that Clayton is still young and will be posting for attention on this board 40 years from now.

It's the best of both worlds, IMO. We're showing real promise, and progress... while keeping hopes for a top notch pick alive.

I won't lie though... when it came down to it... I was begging for the Chiefs to win as if it was a playoff game. I can't help it.
True. I was disappointed we didn't convert but I was also thrilled that I got to see a great game where the Chiefs played balls to the wall and everyone on that team CARED and showed a lot of heart. It was awesome.

Props to Thiggy, Bowe, Bradley and Gonzalez...they were all very impressive today. The offensive line was also very solid.

I'm thrilled with the offense the last few weeks...our defense is ****ed until we get a pass rush, plain and simple...not worried about that unit this year...now I'm just loving the offense.

Well, I guess I did lump you with the "fans" rooting for failure. I guess that was not correct. I just do not see how losing benefits the future in spite of the way the draft is set up. Now the last week of the season or something maybe I could see it. But the season is only half way over. Who knows how the draft order will shake out? Let it fall the way it falls...

I am not sure what that taught the team besides-complete lack of brains by the coach.

That crowd noise, On the road, the SD D was waiting for that Exact roll out- I figured we had less than a 10% chance.

It will be interesting to hear what you say about Herm next year, or later this season, when we start winning games.

Personally I don't like him, but you have to admit that both the coaching staff (herm included) and players have gotten better. It's painfully obvious that everyone knew they wouldn't be competitive until late in the season.

I don't like Herm as a coach and believe he makes bad game day decisions, but you have to admit that the team has gotten better. Personally I believe the team will be really good next year, but we will be limited in wins because of coaching. I also believe that in 2010 we will receive a new coach. But this coaching staff will be around next year (along with Carl).

I think there were some folks around here (not Banyon) who were rooting for losses in Week 1. It's mind-boggling.
