*.* NEW- 2014 General Fitness Thread *.*
I guess we filled up the old one... http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=280149
Welcome to 2014! Now get your ass in top physical condition! No one else started it so here it is! **From the 2013 Thread** If you want to get back into lifting, or need a new lifting routine, START HERE: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi...inner_Programs If you have questions about the SS programs, look here: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started. Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE: http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point. |

Well, I haven't yet received the final menu, but as I understand it the carb cycling will be 5 days a week at 60 or 80, and just two days a week at 200 or 300 (can't remember what he said). For the last 5 weeks I've been around 100 carbs a day (2 cups of rice and some oats). It's all new to me, so I've no real reference other than the trainer.

I tried fishing for a Low T diagnosis when I went to my doctor (internal medicine dr) for the car wreck.
I have had sub-clinical thyroid tests before so he tested again and we decided to start some meds. It has been a huge difference. I'm still hurting from the wreck, but I have a ton more energy already and have only been taking them for a week. Because of the thyroid stuff, he was a no go on the Low T diagnosis. I think he could tell I was fishing for it to benefit my lifting. |

They will pretty much guarantee you qualify for test (would not be in business if they found your levels are good) but are not covered by all insurance.

Good to know. I will hammer my doctor in a follow up visit about low t. I need to go back because I'm having a lower back nerve issue as a result of my wreck.

I'm going to talk to my DR tomorrow about testing for low T. I'm sure she'll probably say that I'm too young. I'm 34...but I do actually have lower energy levels and signs of depression.
