As far as chat and random groups go, you'd be surprised how many awesome people you can meet. Yeah, there are the shitty ones too, but hey, I don't have to deal with them if I don't want to... that's the beauty of it all!

Dromund Kaas is like the Barrens Chat all over again. I love it.

Part of the problem with this game - and problem is probably the wrong word to use, but I can't think of another one - is that I don't want anything interrupting my cutscenes. So I have a tendency to close off everything at the top left corner of the screen, both the chat window and the social panel. So half the time I have no idea if any of my guild is on and half the time I miss any message that people, guild or otherwise, might send me. Which is a bigger issue now that I'm 50 and people are looking to run stuff. |

Although, at least in beta, new messages would show up. The window fades over time, but new messages bring it back. It's also annoying sometimes in combat (especially space combat) when you're trying to target something on the upper left side of the screen, and suddenly you're mousing over your chat window which is now obscuring whatever you were trying to kill. |

Sidenote: if you don't know, there are certain daily objectives in some of the space missions that offer a large amount of xp and credits. Like blowing up the communications array underneath the Outpost in the 2nd or 3rd mission you get. Many of these can only be done at 50, with Proton Torpedoes, but some of them, like the comm array, can be done with missiles (it takes @16, and gives somewhere around 2500 xp/credits - which is nuts at the low levels that you get the mission...). You can also blow up the bridge on the main objective ship in the Makum Te Assualt (however that's spelled). So that's why/how I had the chat window open in the space missions... But you'll never see your chat window open otherwise. |

This is the way it goes. Say you're level 22-24 (I forget which level it is...). You get two new space missions, Makum Te Assault and Balosar Outpost (or whatever they're called, my memory's like swiss cheese). Each one has a separate mission in your log, so the first time you do it, you get a huge chunk of xp and space commendations. Then, after those initial two missions are complete, you get the daily repeatable from fleet command, during which you have to do both missions (together) for lots of xp and commendations. That happens several times, new missions at 28 and 34 or 36, then 44, then 48. Every time you hit a new tier of space missions you can get nearly a half level's worth of xp just from doing the new space missions and their new related daily mission. The daily bonus I mentioned is a different thing, sort of a secret objective. You don't get a notification about it post-mission or anything, it just gives you the xp and credits right when it happens, although it does tell you in big bright green letters across the screen that you did it immediately after you finish. It's not something you're likely to accidentally do. You have to literally hit that comm tower 16 times with missiles for it to finish. |

Space missions are kind of nuts. When I feel like it (and have time) I can clear over 100k credits in like an hour and 15 minutes just doing my dailies.

I love them and I love PvP, but I can't do either right now and it's pissing me off. I'm literally like 6 levels above what I would want to be at this point in time. Just for the reference, I'm on the 3rd Alderaan area and I'm a level 37, all the quests in the first 2 areas of Alderaan were grey to me.

I'm sort of at the same point with my sentinel, although he's on tatooine. He's 27 and I haven't started the planet yet (most of the missions are 25 I think). Right now I'm playing my Sage, trying to finish the class story (I have probably a week, maybe two left, even though I hit 50 a week ago...). Normally I'd do space dailies on my knight. But if I do that for two more weeks, he'll outlevel everything on Tatooine by the time I get back to playing him.
It would definitely be worse if I had any interest in PvP. It did happen on my Sage and is happening on my Gunslinger, too. On my sage I skipped almost all of Belsavis and my gunslinger has skipped half of everything. Basically what I've ended up doing is swapping worlds between the two of them, so I'm not doing the same stuff over and over. |

I checked out the Nostromo and and it felt flimsy as ****. It also doesn't have as many keys, has no LCD and the thumb directional pad is garbage from what I hear so I went with the G13. I think I am going to give the Razer Naga a spin, though. I haven't decided yet, but I'm leaning that way.
