I mean was he obviously better than, say, Andre James? Ehhhhh...... And honestly, I don't think he's better than Ragnow even at his best. A little younger, but Ragnow is a horse. Much more powerful at the point of attack; would definitely help us with that short yardage game we so routinely struggle with. Ain't trying to shit on Creed here or anything - love the guy. But I don't think he's a guy you base offseason decisions around at this moment in time. It's worth noting that Drew Dalman, a 4th rounder in the same class, was also damn good this year. And the league has plenty of mid-round picks playing quite well at C. And we won a championship with Austin Reiter at C. I just don't know that it's critical enough to worry about. Make the moves that help the team the most in 2024 and if those somehow foreclose a Creed Humphrey extension then it's onto the next guy. We've simply never had a problem at the position with Reid here, regardless of who's playing it.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Good class by all accounts. OT and WR is apparently strong and deep classes.
Could see them starting one too. Orlando and Smith were both top 5 in pressures given up last 2 years. The bar isn't exactly high there

If we have to start the T we theoretically take at 32, unless the board falls wonky, day one we're in trouble.

I'm fine with the grabbing an athletic tackle 2nd or 3rd round to compete with Wanya.

He brings up a good point. Jefferson is gonna have a say in this deal. The Vikes will want the best value, but if he isn't gonna sign at said place, they aren't gonna trade for him.

8 tackles in Daniel Neremiah's top 40. 7 in his top 20 overall player rankings.
The avg amount of tackles taken per year is 4.5 and there's 7 highly ranked? Yeah that's potentially a huge advantage for us

Two of those are purely RTs (Latham, Fuaga) One looks like a solid LT but has played alot of RT (Guyton) One has 8 games of collegiate starting experience, all at RT, and is raw as hell (Mims) One is most likely a guard convert (Fautanu) but will be a great guard. One looks the part but has some development to go (Suamataia) and is the one I'd peg as most likely. So really, you have maybe 2 options within reach, Guyton and Suamataia. Are those guys markedly better than Kiran Amegadjie or Javon Foster in round 2? We'll have to see but I think I'd take my chances if I can land a marquee prospect like Jefferson. Like was said, we're not really shooting for an incredible prospect if we can win with Brown and Smith anchoring those spots. Hell, I'd have half a mind to give in to DJ's wishes and move Taylor to LT and take Blake Fisher for my RT at the end of 2. It's just not all that paramount that we have elite play there, as much as I'd like to see it. And let's face it, if Pat is throwing to Jefferson, Rice, and Kelce, someone is getting open quickly. |

If you want a starting LT that is a trade up.

It's cute that people honestly think this is even a remote possibility for us.
Jefferson isn't going anywhere, and there are way too many teams picking much higher than the Chiefs for us to get him anyways. |

There is absolutely zero reason to believe it's not a possibility. The proof is already out there. We made the trade to Miami. There is also no reason we can't afford him. It may be slimmer than say, Houston trading for him but we could and they are a regular trade partner with KC.

Would honestly consider moving Taylor to LT. Believe he said he could do it.
Think Morris is a perfect swing tackle. Not sure he's a starter though. Getting a cheap RT for 4 years balances the OL spending
