Stats don't always tell the whole story though, you know that. Currently Jordan has a better win share and PER than Lebron. But when you talk about Top 5 all time players you could make a case for Wilt or Kareem who are higher than both of them. But the thing is and we have discussed this before it is hard to compare different players from different era's because the game has changed so much.

And I am not trying to diminish Lebron in any way. This series isn't even over yet but people want to start making excuses for him. He is a great ****ing player and he could turn this series around but enough with the excuses.

So you can wrap your head around this,

That would be like the Royals playing at the Dodgers and Kershaw would be pitching against Chris Young.

Yet, you think LeBron is a choker because he can't beat this team.

BRILLIANT!

Exactly. It's a lot easier to score now. Defense is a lost art in the NBA in today's game. Most players don't care about it, they mostly care about scoring. The 90s it was different the game was much more defense focused. Not as many good big-men either today when compared to the 90s but obviously in today's game players shoot the 3 a hell of a lot better than they did back then. And as we all know in todays game there are no handchecks which is huge.

It is simply a totally different game so it is hard to compare stats. Like when people say Romo is better than Aikman because his stats are so much better. I feel that is ridiculous. No way of knowing the numbers Aikman would put up in this era but I know one thing Aikman was a hell of a QB and I'd take him over Romo any day of the week. I don't care what the stats say.

I feel the same way when you compare a lot of players from MJs era to todays. The eye test is always the best IMO.

Plus, how many times do we have to go over the fact that Vegas odds don't predict who wins they indicate a current or anticipated betting line and are designed to move bets to the center where Vegas wins?

If they played by today's rules GS would have a chance to win some games.

If they played by the rules in place when Jordan played Bulls would slaughter GS and send them crying for a safe space.

Warriors would not be scoring like crazy against those Bulls and under those rules. They'd handcheck the hell out of Curry, who again, isn't used to that. Pippen could guard Durant, MJ on Klay, Rodman on Green. Bulls bench was good enough.

I mean it is all speculation. No way of knowing for sure so we can go back and forth all day. Todays rules would be a different story, the Warriors would probably win...

People seem to forget what the Spurs were doing to the Warriors before Leonard got hurt so I'm not buying into the Warriors hype. Cavs D sucks and LeBron is clearly not that much better than Durant like everyone thought.

Warriors are dominating weak playoff competition. NBA is watered down to s**t right now and injuries killed the Spurs.

Jazz never played the 1995-1996 Bulls. They lost to the Sonics in 7-gms in Conference Finals. Sonics took Bulls to 6-games but they were down 3-1 at the time everyone knew they were going to lose. Much like the Warriors of today (so far) no one really gave that Bulls team any trouble.

Is it your argument that defense is played today in the same manner, under the same rules, with the same officiating, it was played in the golden era?

I may have taken it too far with the players don't care about D but I'm not seeing a lot of good defense being played in this years NBA. It's all about scoring.
