I will crap out Tiffany cufflinks and overnight them to Sean McDermott if he can pull it off

They have a punchers chance, we’ll see... meanwhile to hell with both of them, there is much Christmas shopping to be done

So I'm obviously a Bills fan and was curious to see what other AFC teams felt about the post-season this year, and if KC fans would be pulling for the Bills.

Surprised to see so much negativity from a team that could benefit from a Bills win.

Yes, New England has been Buffalo's daddy for 20 years, but in the last three years the Bills have been clawing away to respectability.

I think most of you know Buffalo is a defense first type team. That is a given.

I see a lot of posts where posters here say Buffalo has no chance because 'Josh Allen is garbage' and 'Their QB sucks' posts. I kind of shake my head at that. I thought KC fans knew more about football.

First off a lot of people like to laugh that Buffalo passed on Mahomes. Believe it or not this is a huge topic of discussion in Buffalo and WNY in general. The simple fact is that Mahomes fell into a perfect spot with Andy Reid and the offense that was pre built. The OL was solid, plenty of WR and some RB weapons (Especially with Kareem Hunt) and an offense first mindset. Mahomes would not be Mahomes in Buffalo. KC got the right QB at the right time, with the right coach and right skill set. We did end up with Tre White and a pick that allowed moves to get Josh Allen and Tremain Edmunds, so still good.

Buffalo was not ready for Mahomes, they needed a year to get their QB with a HC and GM change. They got a good one with Josh Allen. Honestly other than Lamar Jackson who from that draft would you want at QB?

To get back to point: 'Buffalo hasn't beaten any good teams'.

Because of standardized NFL schedules Buffalo and New England played 14 of the same 16 teams. NE had to play KC and Houston (both losses btw) and Buffalo played TN and DEN (both wins). Otherwise the schedule is 100% the same. And since when was Buffalo expected to win those games?

Buffalo went into Dallas on Thanksgiving (fighting for a division title), into TN (fighting for a division title) and Pittsburgh (playing for a wild card spot) and won all of them. Two were on the national stage (2-0). This team likes the national stage. Buffalo also likes being on the road. Buffalo is 6-1 on the road this year. The game against New England is on the road on a national stage.....

Buffalo played New England to a 16-10 loss and Baltimore to a 24-17 loss. Both were one score games. Josh Allen was knocked out of the end of the NE game on an illegal hit (not called). Buffalo lost on a blocked punt returned for a TD. NE scored 0 offensive TDs against Buffalo. Since Sean McDermott became HC Brady has 3 TD and 5 INT vs Buffalo. Buffalo also kept Lamar Jackson to under 200 combined yards. Credit to the Baltimore Defense.

'Well that proves Buffalo's Offense is trash'.

Well Buffalo doesn't score as much as KC or put up gaudy stats. True, but it plays complimentary football. Our rookie RB, Devin Singletary (5.1 ypc) was not available in the New England game. The Baltimore Defense did make Josh Allen one dimensional, but Baltimore has been a stud on both sides of the ball. They are the team to beat in the AFC, and Buffalo held them to about 300 yards and a 1 score game.

Josh Allen is a "garbage QB":

JA has thrown 9 INT all season. I believe none are pick 6. 3 INT came against New England alone.JA completion % is up almost 10% from his rookie year. NE has a way of making young QBs look bad. So 6 INT in 13 games after New England. Keep in mind Buffalo has played NE, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Denver and Tennessee all good defenses.

Josh Allen has passed for 18TDs and rushed for 9 more. (BTW Lamar Jackson has rushed for 8 TDs). So that is 27 TD for against 9 INT. A 3:1 TD to INT is good the way I look at it. Rushing TDs don't count in QBR, but JA has 17 rushing TDs in 25 career starts.

'Those are rushing stats, not a real QB metric':

OK, how about this: Josh Allen has 4 4th QTR comebacks, and 5 Game Winning drives this year alone. JA has started 25 games, finished 23 and already has 6 4th qtr comebacks and 8 game winning drives in his career. That may be more 4th Qtr comebcks and GWD than the rest of his class combined. I may be off. That does put Josh Allen tied at 26th in the NFL since 1960. Let that sink in. In 25 starts, Allen is already tied 26th since 1960. He is clutch, if you need more proof, Josh Allen's 4th quarter QB Rating this year is 114, 2nd highest in the NFL.

JA reminds me of a year 1-2 Russell Wilson. In yr 1 and 2 RW was not asked to carry the load. The Seahawks kept games close and the let RW do his thing in the 4th quarter. Buffalo is following the same blueprint, without a Marshawn Lynch in the backfield.

JA won't put up huge numbers in Buffalo's scheme, but he is not asked to. Play the game close, get to the 4th quarter in a one score game, and then let loose.

I want Buffalo to win at New England more than anything. I think you do too.

I also don't want Buffalo traveling to Arrow Head in the first round.

Good luck Chiefs, I'm hoping you win out!

I can't see them doing it. Pats D is probably going to shut them down and as bad as Pats O is I think they'll do enough to win.

See what happens

Mostly solid post. But be prepared; flames are almost assuredly headed your way sooner rather than later . . .

You are right on a couple things: probably all of us want your Bills to win tomorrow. More than most of us are willing to admit. More than a few here are still very salty about the Chiefs losing the game to the Titans, a game that we won in every significant statistical category, but literally and figuratively fumbled away at the end with some really strange play-calls and two horrific gaffes on STs. Which makes tomorrow's tilt between your Bills and the Pats significant in terms of the 2-seed, which we can't win without your help.

And the second thing that you're right about: we don't know much about your team. Other than their stat lines, and what the talking heads tell us. What we do know is that your QB hasn't had a statistically 'great' game yet, and has had some real head-scratchers. We'd probably all be less salty about tomorrow if we could see some more consistently good play from your passing offense.

However, I know that the Patriots offense isn't going to score much on your defense; less than 20 points is a certainty, unless JA throws a couple pick-6s or your ST shits the bed again.

And I know that Sean McDermott isn't an idiot; he has the blueprint for beating the Patriots, so all he has to do is follow the formula, be wary of the inevitable 2-3 trick plays Bill will call because his offense sucks, and have JA stick to quick short throws and a lot of running and your Bills should walk away with a win.

But the key is exposing the Pats average run defense: if your Bills can rush 20 times in the first half, and 35-40 times in the game, they will beat the Pats.

Because the Pats D can't stop the run nearly as well as the talking heads think they can.

The uncertainty for most of us is that JA threw 4 INTs against the Pats the first time around. And a fumble. Or whatever it was. A lot of us are expecting JA to see more ghosts. But hoping silently that he proves us wrong tomorrow.

Good luck tomorrow. My niece's college dreams are depending on your Bills to win outright.

The only way the Pats stand a chance of winning a single playoff game is if they cheat and they play at home.

Take away one or the other and they are a half step above Cincy.
