It should either be Ramsey, PP or Rhodes.

If there's a trade to be made, Veach will give up too much or get back too little.

I heard the Giants are going to drop Janoris Jenkins, so maybe that's who we will sign.

You've been pretty scarce around here lately. Figured the draft would bring you back a bit?

Which was that we're spending more assets than we're gaining with these moves and it'll eventually catch up if we don't stop. The more picks we trade away, the more high round draft selections we dispose of, the more it hurts our depth and ability to find adequate replacements when these vets get older and more costly.

Veach needs to "win" on one of these CB trades and then start recouping some of the cost.

Flipping a 1st round selection 2 seasons later for next year's 2nd is losing. You can't maintain a talented roster doing shit like that. And it's not like we're talking about players who weren't productive.

They took some loses flipping these guys and now have an uphill battle.
No it's not.

I think we got the best years out of Peters. I mean wouldn't keeping him and then not being able to sign him to another contract be "losing"?

You took pick 18 and got a lot of productivity out of him for three years. Then you traded him for a 2nd, which is now our starting FS.

Seems decent to me.

I'm not sure that he is. And if he is, he's certainly not much better. Not enough to justify the cost.

Those 4th and 6th round picks are depth for a team that can draft, which is what the Chiefs have been under Reid.

They may not seem like much, but ultimately you're sacrificing depth. You keep doing it and keep doing it, the roster WILL erode. It's already eroding.
I mean in this situation you'd get a third back so you're only really losing one sixth round pick. Meh.

I think Waynes is better than Breeland. PFF shows he's been drafted to a team that's using him more frequently in zone and as a result he's suffered. Get him in a man heavy scheme and you'd see him possibly have a resurgence. Either way he'd be an improvement.

Waynes
Fuller
Breeland
Ward

That's a solid group if we can't get PP.

And then you turn around and say that they traded Peters for a high round draft selection, which was used for an excellent secondary draft pick.

And then you turn around AGAIN and say that no one can put stock into a draft pick. It's not as valuable as the known commodity that Peters is.

And then you turn around and complain about Veach spending a second round pick on MORE known commodity Patrick Peterson. We need those draft picks!

And then you turn around and say that trading draft picks prevents us from cheap labor. WHICH IS IT?

So now you're going to argue that getting 3 years out of a 1st round pick is a good strategy?

Ok guy.

Glad to see there still isn't a move this organization can make that you'll criticize, though.
