*****The Patrick Mahomes Thread*****

IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Mahomes has had so many signature plays already in his young career, but man, that pass to Sherman down the sideline just a couple of inches over the linebacker's stretched out hand to Sherman against the Chargers is just a thing a freaking beauty.

Yeah the one to Robinson at home earlier this year was pretty bad ass too. I think it was against the Ravens in the 1st half?

You just hadn't ever seen a Chiefs qb drop a ball in so beautifully. Then you realized he was hitting Sherman and it was lololol good.

I'd say at that point I knew. I knew he was going to be great, still didn't know how great. But I knew we had a franchise QB.

For me, I thought the way he performed at Denver his rookie year was very promising, because he definitely didn't play like a rookie. Especially when he had to come back into the game to win it, after being taken out with a big lead.

Then, the TD pass to Sherman against the Chargers on opening day the next year really stood out to me, because of the accuracy, but also because he threw a pass like that to a FB who, when he released the ball, was covered.

The 6 TD passes against the Steelers, who tried and tried to confuse him, made me believe he was going to be very good.

The TD pass to Conley running across the back of the end zone, after the scramble, which he threw with both feet off the ground, told me he was going to be special. Everything about that scramble and pass was just ridiculous, and I felt very confident that everything I had seen up to that point was no fluke.

I was at that game in Pittsburgh, and afterwards walking out of the stadium, it was so awesome.....every Chiefs fan just had a big giddy smile on their faces, and as we would pass, we would just nod at each other like "yep....we got our guy"......
