disparity...yes...I call it a bias, but in the end its the same premise.

The Patriots had one clearly bad call which cost them 4pts late in the game. No question about it. There was another play which was almost definitely DPI against the Chiefs and also wasn't called.

The refs weren't massaging this. It's just human error.

I agree. But Cheatriot gets different calls. There is no question about it.

You think Tom Brady gets jacked out of bounds without a roughing penalty?

Total penalty yardage was 136-25. Do you really think they executed that much better than we did?

Easy killer...we've got a genious that says that shove out of bounds was completely legit and that there's no evidence to prove otherwise whether in bounds or not...

Yip

Let's not forget the facemask called on Mahomes.

It is ironic that the officiating was so bad that NE had to burn through their challenges so that when it came to challenging scoring plays, they had nothing left.

I cannot emphasize how much I enjoy this fact. In the last 20 years, I would conservatively say that NE has won more calls by a factor of 5 to 1 over the last 20 years.

I totally agree with the first line of the OP.

What a horribly officiated game, on both sides of the ball. Although in the 1st quarter it was definitely slanted towards the Pats.

I don't watch a lot of games the Chiefs aren't in but there has been terribad officiating all season long. It's not a new thing, bad officiating has been rampant the last few years, the question is what can be done about it?

It's awfully hard for the casual fan to see who is the best team when the officials have such a big impact on how a game goes and so many "rules" are left open to interpretation by said refs leaving even the most die hard fan to wonder "WTF" on many penalties.

All I'm asking for is parity/equality on officiating.

Probably a rhetorical question, but IMO, take what you can out of their dumb ****ing hands.

Remote sensing is easy these days. I have some pretty extensive posts on this, but a lot of it is just easy as hell. GPS can get my tractor to less than an inch away from any given point on the planet. A chip in the ball and some triangulation centers in the stadium should take spotting the ball off the table.

It would take some work, but pressure sensors or even electrical sensors should take the question of whether a player was down or out of bounds or whatever a player was touched down or whatever.

Aforementioned sensors could be put in the ball to determine control on a catch or a fumble. Whether the player was down on a fumble. Maybe even on lineman's jersey to tell if there is holding.

Sensors in facemasks should help.

Getting all that shit out of the way might help them improve the calls they **** up so ridiculously bad.

It was rhetorical but not. Your thoughts are good ones, it takes "human error" out of the equation, but opens up a new can of worms I suppose.

It would take some time to make sure it could take the punishment, but FFS, I can buy sensors that can tell me the soil moisture in the root zone on my damned phone. GPS can get my tractor sub inch. I can access every shaft speed on my decade old combine, know instantaneous moisture and yield, and count the kernals that go out the back of the machine. I'm a dumbass farmer with no money. The NFL can make all the shit I just said work. Easy. And probably a bunch of shit I can't wrap my head around.

From this point forward Buehler has my permission to turn off the TV the minute the Chiefs have an issue in the 1st QTR.
