80's MTV era junkies

I bought Van Go on a whim back in the mid-'80s and really liked it (loved the song Riverside). I never actually got anything else by them until recently. It was pretty hard to find for a while there. I'm not usually a fan of live albums but I'll check out the one above.

What did you get recently?

The live album was recorded in San Diego(about 20 miles from El Cajon)on New Year's Eve,of course there's a few tunes of their raunchy humor Happy Boy,Lucille,King Of Sleaze and Big Ugly Wheels but for the most part it really captures the band at their best(which was live for me) and why they had such a cult like following.

If you don't care for the live then by all means check out The Pursuit Of Happiness which includes a favorite of mine Hollywood Hills.

When I say "recently" I mean like in the last 5 years or so.

I got their first album "Tales of the New West". At the time, that album and Van Go were the only ones readily available. I just checked and it looks like their other albums are on Amazon now so I can check them out.
