Is there a way that the normal chat that people us on CP can be improved (along with the site)?

I'd assume that it would need a new/bigger server to handle the traffic?

Not really, no. It's a half assed hack that was written a decade ago.

For those who don’t regularly go to the chat, we only won the game at Denver this season because TLO mandated that we only post in caps in the fourth quarter. It was a true revelation.

So if there were improvements/more processing power/indexing (whatever it is) made for the server, not only that would help the board performance, it would enable to keep this chat on here?

Correct. Though I'd still argue that the user experience leaves something to be desired even when it's working well.

That's fair, but perhaps in the offseason, run a poll to gauge CP's preference if they want bells and whistles while on a different chat, or continue to use this one with no bells and whistles?
