I am used to the 49ers GM reaching for a great player. We did it again this year, taking a great 2nd round safety in the 1st round. It is just how the 49ers GM works. He goes for the sure thing.

It looks like Dorsey might be in the same mold. He wants a great guy and gets him and doesn't care who says he is reaching. Time will tell how good a pick you got.

Like you guys, I find it anticlimactic and difficult to pass on 1st round talent to reach for a 2nd round guy I feel we could have got in the 2nd round, but you can't argue with the 49ers roster, so it appears to work for the long term.

I'm sure Ford will be a stud of a pass rusher. But draft day sure is painful, isn't it?

Dorseys reaches are pretty on par with 49ers reaches. Couldn't you tell from all the rookie production last year?

Half of our draft was injured last year.

Two of them never even saw the field.

Two of them (Fish and Davis) finished the year with numerous injuries and might not be ready for the start of this year...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

97% of all fan bases are spoiled, impatient, demanding, knee-jerk morons who have no clue how to actually build let alone run a professional sports team.

What makes you think the Chief's have a monopoly on idiotic fans. We have our share of them in the 49ers fan base as well.

That's why they call us "fanatics". We are unreasonable, demanding, spoiled and childish most of the time.

Looking at the Chiefs past success, their fans might not do bad running a team. Could not get much worse.
