Recommendations for oral surgeons in the KC metro

Four weeks ago I was involved in a work place accident that, in addition to other injuries sustained, resulted in 4 shattered teeth one one side and a cracked molar on the other. The surgeon who sewed up my face put a referral in for me at UMKC for implants. I just got off the phone with them and the earliest they could set up an appointment just for my consultation was fricken October. I cannot go that long plus however much time is required for all of the surgery (supposedly I’m going to need a bone graft as well) on this super soft and liquid diet. Not to mention I would like to get as much of this taken care of while I’m already on paid leave to reduce the number of days I have to take off once I am cleared to go back to work.

So if anyone has any recommendations for me for a reputable oral surgeon that accepts workman’s comp in the metro I would greatly appreciate it.

I’m pretty sure the boss is keeping the damned thing. It’s a concrete chainsaw anyway, so probably not what you are looking for.

Gosh, that sounds like quite an experience. I'm glad you're healing well.

This makes me thankful for my ability to eat bacon cheeseburgers, so maybe I'll have one today since tomorrow is never guaranteed. I'll savor every juicy, flavor-textured bite, and maybe I'll ask for double cheese so that it drips down slightly over the edge of the burger. Mmmm.

The first thing I ate a few years ago when I got the braces off was a giant burger and onion rings from BRGR.

I wouldn't worry about paid leave vs missing work. If it's over a workplace injury they are going to pay you.

And then you ask for a bunch more for pain and suffering and a lifetime injury.
