Advanced COPD. That would be the last thing I would want. Living with the anxiety of feeling like you can't breath and that finally being a reality is torture.

I was a Respiratory Therapist for 9 years. I helped people be as comfortable as possible while they die slow deaths full of regret. Every day someone didn’t die on me, was a rare good day.

You’d think Respiratory Therapists working with these dying patients wouldn’t smoke, right? But no, a higher % smoked than the general Population. WTF? we were in the ICU/ER all the time. High stress to say the least. So people smoked.
