Gronk is a blocking tight end at this point in his career. He's really good at that, but covering him is like bottom of the barrel stuff to worry about.

Guess you missed our last game agaist the Patriots then. When they needed one catch, it was Gronk they went to with the game on the line. And he delivered.

Guess you missed where he was being single-covered by Josh Shaw, who was signed like 2 weeks before that game and cut like 3 weeks after.

Guess you missed the main point, and I'm not surprised...I didn't miss anything. The point was, if you follow the thread, was that dude said that Gronk is now mostly a blocker and no longer a pass receiving threat. My point was dont overlook the guy, cuz he KILLED us last time when only one catch was needed. It was NEVER about WHO was covering him.

You know your stuff, but if you're going to chime in , in your typical know-it-all fashion, you should at least be up to speed on what we're talking about.

Since they last played us.....Gronk has had two good games.

vs Jets - 3 catches for 56 yards and a TD
vs Dolphins - 8 catches for 107 yards and a TD

Outside of those two games he's averaged 2 catches for 23 yards and 0 TDs. He's also contemplating retiring after this season. I don't think his head is in the game anymore.

Hes actually been very good of late. I wouldn't shrug gronk off for this weekend.

He's been really good as a blocker, but has been a complete non-factor as a receiving threat for almost the entire 2nd half of the season. He's a blocking TE that had one good receiving game in Miami, but done pretty much nothing else.


I'm not sure where you're getting this narrative from, not even the Pats fan I know would agree with you. Our game planning for Gronk should mostly be worried about him as a blocker.
