When the bitching and moaning out paces the number of picks being made The Fonz has jumped the shark on the CP Mock Draft.

At this pace we won’t even finish the 6th round by the time the actual draft starts.

I've had like 3 picks in the whole draft so don't you try and put this debacle on me. I wash my hands of this madness.

Anybody that isn’t going to be around much can PM me a list of prospects for their teams that they’d like to use to make their selections and I can make their picks for them to keep the ball rolling here.
Otherwise, there’s no way we finish before the real draft starts up. Especially guys that have a lot of picks left and aren’t around much... |

All it takes is just one "run" and we'll have this thing finished up. The downside, however, is that all it takes is one "dead" day for things to get halted up. Really, it's also kind of bad luck. Nobody is ever online at the right time when we can just string picks together back-to-back. It's all those little 2-3 hour waits in between picks, which while within the rules, if too many get stacked up, we don't get anything done. |

And look, here's just one more thing.
You get 12 hours. The 12 hour clock is so the guy who goes on the clock just after he goes to bed doesn't get screwed. That's why we have it. That doesn't mean take advantage of the 12 hour clock during the daytime. Some of you mother****ers have been huge dipshits this year with regards to that. Plan ****ing ahead. Send your picks to a guy if you're so damn busy during the day. It's not that freaking hard. |

The Cleveland Browns select Oren Burks, LB, Vanderbilt
I'm pretty sure that wraps up Cleveland's draft, so here's the tally: 1-001 QB Sam Darnold, USC 1-004 DT Vita Vea, Washington 2-033 CB Isaiah Oliver, Colorado 2-035 WR D.J. Chark, LSU 2-064 FS Jessie Bates III, Wake Forest 4-114 OT Geron Christian, Louisville 5-150 RB Mark Walton, Miami 6-175 DE Jalyn Holmes, Ohio State 6-188 LB Oren Burks, Vanderbilt |

Haha, well I felt pretty good getting those last 3 guys when I thought about taking any one of them at the pick at 114. I think Burks fits that new hybrid SS/OLB role on passing downs extremely well. I don't think he will ever be much of a downhill run defender, but out in space he has the tools.
The steal, for me, though I think was getting Walton in round 5. I think he's a round 3 back that's going to be pretty damned good in the NFL. I think he has a Hunt/Kamara impact as a rookie if he gets in the right spot. Let's hope or I'll look like a real f'n chump with all those picks in the top 64. |
