Tony Romo would probably win a title in Denver.

People are insane if they think Andy Reid is going to trade away his starting QB who is averaging 11 wins a year and has just won the division.
What's even crazier is this morning I heard a NY sportstalk host hoping that KC would sign Romo so they could get Alex Smith. The grass is always greener.

Then he'd win 2 on a superior KC team.

Honestly, I think he'd have a chance at doing that.
My dream scenario is: Sign Tony Romo to a 2 year deal with a team option for a third year. First 2 years fully guaranteed. Trade Alex Smith to anyone who will take him for a third round pick or better. Draft a first round QB and use whatever picks it requires to move up to get the best fit, if nessesary. Charles agrees to a new 2 year, 6m deal. Berry agrees to a 5 year 55m deal (I know that's not gonna happen) if Tony Romo takes 40m for 2 years, moving on from Alex and Foles clears up 20.5m in cap space so it's basically a wash. If healthy, Romo is a MASSIVELY upgrade over Alex Smith. I know it's DEFINITELY not going to happen, but I'm JIMP just thinking about Romo throwing to Hill, Maclin, Kelce and then Charles and Ware out of the backfield. With our defense and the rest of the incoming draft picks (and getting a third for Poe next year) this team would be locked and loaded. |

Tony Romo will be cut from Dallas, meaning he wouldn't even factor into comp picks. He's not a "qualifying free agent". Learn the rules, kid. |

2007 : They lost to the Giants team that beat the 18-0 Patriots. If you watched that game, you'd have remembered Romo making a REMARKABLE play late in the 3rd quarter to find a wide open Patrick Crayton who would have scored a TD ... but he dropped the ball that hit him in the numbers. Would have been the dagger. Tony Romo was pressured relentlessly all game (like they did to Favre the next week, and Brady in the Super Bowl) and he played a HELL OF A GAME. Only Cowboy to show up. 2008 : They lost 46-6. Something tells me the team was overmatched. Don't remember the game, though. ...and it seems you conveniently forgot the playoff game where he threw a game winning TD, or so we thought, to beat Aaron Rodgers only for the dumb ass catch rule no one understands to be invoked because Dez reached for the pylon after obviously catching the ball and they waived it off - on 4th down. Awful. That was just a few years ago. They beat the Lions the week before on some bullshit call, too, so... If you're going to argue with me, you're going to have to use context. You can't blame a starting QB for botching a snap in the kicking game and have me take you seriously. There is a reason no starting QB's double down as the holder ... it's just too much. |

If he can stay healthy, yes, quite possibly.

if we are arguing and not using context ...
explain to me the whole idea that Manning is a choker but Brady is clutch ... and tell me why Brady was 0 for his last 3 against Manning in AFC Championship Games? I am tired of the 'this QB has this record so he is bad' playoffs argument. Since Rodgers won a Super Bowl - he has an abysmal record in the playoffs including 2 embarrassing losses to Colin Kaepernick. C O N T E X T |

(oh, and before Amnorix has an aneurysm, I was just using Brady/Manning and public perception as an example, relax)

You're right. I should've known that because I vaguely remember that point being made when Denver signed DeMarcus Ware a few years ago. |
