And Sac, I don't mean to portray that I don't think Hudson is a good player. I think he is and I'd love to keep him. But with his position being what it is (which is something we seem to disagree on) I find it tough to spend that much on him.

DJ's Left Nut and a few others had a good conversation about it in draft planet a few days ago, but you've got to just keep stacking good/great depth upon itself thru the draft and sign a few here and there.

Other than QBs, and the occasional truly elite player (Revis, Watt, etc...), that's true of every position.

Thats true, but in that, I don't think it's easy to go from say current top player at his position, to above average at that position very often. More likely, it's top to below average.
