What kind of wallet are you packing these days?
I'm in the market for a new wallet and I'm not sure where to head. You can buy cheap wallets for three bucks or you can spend $100+ on a wallet.
I've done a needs assessment, and decided the following: I need enough room to hold approximately four cards: a couple of credit cards, a driver's license, and a health insurance card. I need a place to hold cash, and preferably a hidden or non-obvious compartment. I'm a baby boomer so I will always carry cash because you never know when the Soviets will launch a nuclear strike and destroy civilization and we'll need paper money to exchange for cans of beans or survival knives. That's how boomers were raised, so don't question me on it. It would be nice to have some other little compartment for miscellany, like my discount card for the grocery store that's 1/8 the size of a credit card. I've historically carried my wallet in my right rear pocket, but I'm open to moving it to a front pocket. I'm kind of intrigued by the phone case that doubles as a wallet, but that means that I'll likely need a new wallet whenever I get a new phone, and that seems wasteful. What do you have? How do you like it? |

Can’t stand sitting on my wallet and don’t need to carry a bunch of stuff. Have a cheap front pocket wallet from Amazon that holds my license, a credit, and my debit card (although I use Apple Pay whenever possible anyway.) It has a magnetic money clip which I may not like if I used cash a lot, but I rarely carry cash since I don’t need to pay for sex like scho.

Just a standard, black bi-fold wallet.
Important specs: -Always black. I had a beige wallet back in high school and my jeans bled all over that thing, made it look like crap. -I prefer the see-through slot for my driver's license -Space for at least four cards (credit cards, debit card, Sam's card, etc.) and some cash. These days I'll usually keep anywhere from $50-100 just for emergencies. -Carried in my back right pocket unless I'm wearing basketball shorts, in which case I'll just carry it in my right pocket. Other than that I don't think much about it, though I do like the look and feel of money clips so occasionally I'll bust one of those out. |

By far the best wallet I have had is my current Dango Wallet.
https://www.dangoproducts.com/collections/all I believe my model is called "Dapper" I carry it in my front pocket. They have many different options and wallets but I will never use any other wallet. |

These look so uncomfortable having a rigid piece of metal in your pocket. What am I missing?

The ridge. A little pricy but has been worth it. I'll never go back to a standard folding wallet. Smaller, sturdier, more secure in the front pocket. Not sitting on a bulky bi or tri fold anymore has even made sitting better. Definitely recommend a front pocket ridge style wallet for everyone.

The Ridge wallet may be the last wallet I ever buy. Really sturdy, holds cash well, and it is pretty stylish. I have had the gunmetal Ridge wallet for a couple of years now and it still looks brand new. |

I carry my wallet in my back pocket and kind of hate thick wallets, so I've been using one of these for about a year. I wasn't sure about having cards on the outside at first, but there's no question that it slims it down significantly. I have no complaints so far, though I'll mention that I only occasionally carry cash.

It's been several years since I have had a wallet. I literally use a small binder clip that holds my DL, ATM card, Costco card and AAA membership card together in my front pocket. In the other front pocket is my EDC folding knife and any cash I am carrying.
There was a time I had a 3" thick George Costanza wallet filled with everything and I finally had enough and went lite

This is what I just started using. I'm a wallet in the back pocket guy. Always used some form of a bifold wallet with a cash pocket in it. This one above is moderately thinner than what I'm used to and pretty happy thus far. But it's a transition in knowing where to look for certain cards. |
