Favorite Music Biopics
With the Oscars tomorrow and all the hoopla over Bohemian Rhapsody thought it'd be appropriate to have a thread on movies about real life musicians and or singers and which ones you like the most.
Here's a list from 2016 of Rolling Stone's 30 best music biopics |

I really thought The Rat Pack would've made Rolling Stone's list.

I can’t believe they have “I’m not there” ranked number one. I thought that movie was ****ing terrible. I the runaways one was underrated. Lots of movies on the list I need to watch.

Yeah shame Busey scrambled his brain against the curb riding helmetless on his Harley. Dude did a great job on that movie. For me I Walk the Line was as good as it gets for me being a huge JC fan.

I did like Walk the Line, but I have a hard time watching it now because Joaquin Phoenix has turned out to be so weird. Bohemian Rapsody is right up there now with Buddy Holly. |

The Biopic I want to see made is for Mark Oliver Everett of the Eels. His autobiography, Things the Grandchildren Should Know, is the best music biography I've ever read (YMMV). He's had an interesting, tragic-at-times life and I think it would translate to a movie format pretty well.
There's a documentary called Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives about this guy's father where the son goes around talking to former colleagues about his dad and his dad's "Many-worlds interpretation" of quantum physics which was pretty good IMO.
