Cam Newtwon, Jameis Winston, or Alex Smith?

So I remember not too long ago we were so desperate for a QB that many of us were calling for the likes of Geno Smith, Chase Daniels, and even Tyler Bray to lead our Chiefs. So how excited would you have been if Cam or Jameis would have become available during those troubled times? Would you have preferred Cam, Jameis, or Alex?

I can't believe the Bears chose to TRADE for Nick Foles instead of signing Cam or Jameis off the street.

Ryan Pace must be trying to get fired.

Honestly, it makes sense given the circumstances.

With this virus, there's a high chance of a shorter offseason and no camp to get a new QB up to speed. Foles and Nagy have worked together. He's the best plug-and-play option.

The Bears need to win now. A defensive team typically doesn't have a lengthy Super Bowl window.

I believe they are doing it as a last ditch effort to make Mitch get over the hump. He's got the skill set. Now his job is relatively in danger now. He better reach inside himself and turn the corner. If they signed Cam Mitch would be abandoned by that organization. Foles is a motivation tool.

Accuracy and ability to read defenses are skills Mitch does not have.

Bears are wasting a top tier D on a less than replacement level QB.

In the right system foles is the best option.

Winston is probably the best mixture of being able to win now, stay healthy, and continue to win in the future. Newton and Smith would be nothing more than stopgaps.

That said, I highly doubt Alex Smith ever plays another down and it's not clear if Newton is entirely healthy.
