Vegas Weekend
Somehow my wife Ok'd me to "chaperone" her brother and a few of his friends in Vegas for his 21 bday.
Headed out there this weekend. Staying at the Bellagio, got a good deal on a room then got it upgraded to a suite somehow for like 20 extra bucks per night. Any recommendations on what or where to hit up? I've been a handful of times so I know a few places, just looking for any other ideas. Where is the best sports book for the Sunday games? |

Caesars Sportsbook is second to none, IMO.
Not a super exciting recommendation, but there’s an In-and-Out burger on the strip on the Linq Promenade now. Pretty good burger and a cheap lunch for Vegas standards. |

I've read Caesars is the best book. I walked thru it a few years ago but never stopped. Hopefully it goes well this weekend.

The best sportsbook is off the Strip but the monorail will take you there
It's at The Westgate and you've got to see it to believe it Quote:

The Bargain Bin IMO would be 1.Fly Southwest non stop early or late flights on a weekday or Spirit out of KC 2.If a fancy casino/room is not important you stay at Circus Circus, downtown or a bit off the Strip and use the bus line to go to and fro. 3.If food is not important there are plenty of Subways etc. I also suggest hitting up Sam's before you leave and get some bulk snacks to put in your suitcase.I also know guys who take their own booze and buy a cheap cooler once there as it's Vegas you can carry that stuff practically anywhere. 4.Gambling-now this is where it can get tricky. If you're not attracted by all the bells and whistles you'll be fine. Personally I've been the first weekend of MM numerous times and it's a zoo,and prices are inflated during that period plus it can be very difficult finding a place to watch all the games unless you're willing to pay big bucks for a watch party or you're willing to camp out at a sportsbook all night to secure yourself a seat. To give you a price would be unfair as there's just too many variables but hopefully the above gives you some ideas if you don't want to break the bank.

I go once a year during the football season with my brothers. We are going in two weeks because, you know, the Chiefs play the Packers on Sunday Night Football.
Vegas is a great town with a ton to offer. Its kind of important what you are in to. I love small concert venues. Last year we hit Jimmy Buffett (big concert) then the next night saw Willie Nelson and his family. Both were great. We are all in to sports gambling, so we hand out at the Sportbooks. My favorite is at the Cosmopolitan. Cool place. Well done, and free shit to do, shuffleboard, and whatever. If I'm going to gamble (table games), I hit the Cromwell. People watching is always fun. I enjoy buying beers off of some dude with a cooler in front of the Bellagio fountains for some reason. We hit Freemont street for a night in old Vegas, I kind of like the Gold Nugget casino. Vic & Anthony's is a good steak house. This year we watching the last games Sunday Night Football at Lagasse’s Stadium at The Palazzo. You need to call for a reservation. So each individual have a minimum to cover, ours is $125, but I can probably drink that or I'll order a nice steak. The stadium is full of TVs, you have a leather couch and all that shit. Last year I watched the game at some BS bar in the Planet Hollywood - not going to do that again. I'm a foodie (ie FAT). So Vegas is great for that. Grab a breakfast sandwich at Eggslut in the Cosmopolitan. I'm a Thomas Keller fan, so I always hit Bouchon at The Venetian (10th Floor) If I want to hit a buffet, I hit the Wynn on Friday or Saturday night when there is seafood. Or there is a Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab - northern part of the Strip. There are some good karting experiences we have done. We have also done a half day kayak trip from the Hoover Dam - really cool to see it from that perspective. The water is cold. This year we are doing Speed Vegas where you take an exotic car our on a road course. Let me know what you are into, and I can maybe make some other recommendations. We were just three 40 year old dudes so we don't do anything crazy. Great time of year to go out. |

I'd guess that Vegas is probably one of the safest places to go with all the surveillance and security on properties. Not going to let some crazy MoFo dictate my travel plans. |
