Well I dont know how many of you guys collect cards, but the other day I bought a retail box and pulled a 1/1. By far my best pull ever retail or hobby. I didnt even know you could get a 1/1 in retail.

Horrible odds, but they're out there. Really not much different than buying a lottery ticket, ar at least a scratch-off.

I have bought one card for my pc, because it was fairly cheap and I figure it has a shot at being expensive. Its a 2016 Raul Mondesi on card auto numbered to 50. If he can duplicate this year over a full season over a full season this year he will be a bonafide super star. Take his numbers over a 162 game season and you have 101 Runs/164 hits/28 Doubles/6 Triples/30 HRs/80 RBIs/70 SBs If he does that it would be something never accomplished by someone else. 30 HR 70 RBI. Hell 30 HR 50 RBI has only been done twice. Im trying to find some higher end RPAs |

Unsure when or if I ever post pics or stats but my Glenn Dorsey rc collection is likely the best in the world. Like 9 1/1s, 30 plus autographs (he sent a ton back unsigned lol) and uncountable jersey cards. Several rainbows or near rainbows.
I love my kids but I wish I’d have sunk as much money into mahomes when we drafted him as I did Dorsey, I’d be a much richer man lol |

God damn last year you could have bought a shit ton of nice Mahomes rookies cheap and made a small fortune on them. His cards are sky high. Im trying to get a Luka Doncic (Bball rookie) silver prizm. That cards going for about 300 bucks and if you can get one graded a 9.5 or 10 its worth anywhwre from 1k to 1.5k

My Son (years ago) was into Baseball cards and I used to take him to card shows here and in Missouri. He had one hell of a collection. One show in particular, I was wandering around and happened to buy a pack of cards from some kid - just to break the boredom. Well, I opened them up and began checking them out. Some guy walking past saw one of my cards - It was a Frank Thomas card and he says "I'll give you $400 for that card right now. BINGO!!! Card gone and $400 in my pocket. Never told my Son about it.....I do not know, to this day, what the actual "value" of that card was - but I'll bet a dollar to a donut it's not worth that today..... |
