So the NFL changed the celebration penalty

I did not know this till right now, so if you score a TD and get a celebration penalty the defense can take that penalty on the kickoff like always.....or choose to have it enforced on the point try making your extra point a 48 yard kick or backing a 2 point try to the 17 yard line.

I feel like a celebration penalty may cost someone a game.

Luckily they've relaxed on the celebration stuff. Don't use a prop and you're gucci.

That's a big deal. That's going to change the outcome of a couple of games this year, I bet.

No biggie. We’ll just need to score an extra TD at the beginning of the game so our guys can have some fun.

It raises the idea that a 2-point conversion might be easier from the 17-yard line ... due to lack of congestion in the endzone.

In a close game, you might try and draw the penalty.

The inconsistency of this was so frustrating. Wasn't it called during the Rams game?

The success rate is over 50 percent from the two. There is no way this increases at the 17 yard line

If you’re a Chiefs fan, you know it well.

Except this time, the NFL’s “all-star” officiating crew on hand threw a flag for taunting, a 15-yard penalty enforced on the kickoff.

“I got to see what that was,” Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said after the game. “He always does his little thing. We just need consistency with it, so if it’s one thing, one week—he’s been doing it for two, three years here—same thing, I think. I’ll have to look at it. You guys (the media) had a better look at it than I did, but they called it, so it’s one of those things. ”

What he means to say is, California is on fire and they moved the game here so they made sure the Rams had to win.

Is it really that high, Mr. SupDock?

That's very surprising to me.
