Chiefs D ranked #1 in....
Sacks. 52 on the season. Was shocked to see that considering we don't really blitz much.

If our LB's, Safeties and CB's weren't shit- we could have a top 10 D. Jones, Houston and Ford and been dominating.

The Opposition's offense was one dimensional, because Mahomes.

Thats no joke. Looking at those statistics, the chiefs are top 5 in a lot of categories. They are #1 in forced fumbles, 4th in fumbles recovered, 9th in interceptions, tied 2nd in defensive touchdowns...I have no idea how many QB pressures we have this year. But I'd bet its in the top end of the league. If they could stop the run and tighten up the back end, this defense would easily be a top defense in the league. We had a top 10 defense in 2015 before the ass end fell out. Cant believe they were ranked 7th overall back then.

All that matters is scoring defense.
At Arrowhead we’re giving up 18ppg average. That’s good enough for 3rd in the NFL. Also never gave up 30 points at home. If we can score 30 I don’t think we lose the next two games. |

Well rounded defense does not apply to the Chiefs.

When the other team has to throw to keep up, this is what happens.

Curious what the D numbers are with Alice Smiff?
Probably not near as bad. Mahomes forces Veech to draft kids that excelled in coverage I would think? As mentioned teams go one dimensional right away when we get up on them. I mean, teams don’t game plan playing from behind, right? Maybe they should, lol. ________________________ So I fell asleep last night and then this........ Mahomes 4rd year. In the offseason he signed an 8 year extension @ $20 million per!!! Talk about team player! “OK folks. #15 PM II is writing new material for the record books. He’s on a 5 touchdown per game 8 week winning streak. The first 2 games before the streak started he tossed 15 tds. He’s on pace to shatter the old record, set by him last year of 63 tds.” BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP. Damn alarm clock!

How many Defensive Coordinators have a dominant pass rush without blitzing but still have the league's shittiest defense? Takes talent.
