We did not score too quick...

So sick of seeing this argument being made. It's a bullshit argument made out of pure hindsight. We have seen our #1 offense with 1st & goal inside the 5 come away with 0 points a few times this year. When you need a TD to take the lead you ****ing get it when you can get it.

And really it worked out. We stopped The Bradys twice but the Refs chose to get involved and extend their drive. Particularly with a bullshit roughing call that we didn't get on exactly the same type of play.

we did leave too much time for brady and the offense is too explosive to slow down and make a sustained clock killing drive

but if we would have scored 1 point in the first half we would have won

I just disagree. The Pats defense let Williams score on purpose because they wanted to get Brady the ball back with time, they LOVE being in that situation. Everyone who has ever watched a game of football in their life knew what was going to happen when Brady gets the ball back with 3 minutes and timeouts. If it was any other team I would agree but c'mon, against the Pats you want to be the last team to score.

Well we lost 37-31, so the math on that doesn't quite add up.

31-31 created overtime

1 point in the first half the chiefs have 32?

When you're at midfield with 2 timeouts and 3 minutes left you don't just start bombing it down the field play after play.

There's a reason the Patriots are in the superbowl every year.

I think you are wrong. We could have tried to run some clock, but we even ran a play north of the 2 minute warning. And it looked like the Patriots were going to let us score, because they knew Brady could go right down and get it back.

If we tried and they just let us score anyway, ok. But Reid didn't even try to take time off of the clock. I mean, if you try to run clock and they just let you walk into the end zone, at least you tried.

And really, when we scored and you saw how much time was left, did you actually think we could stop them from scoring?

The game was 31-31 at the end of regulation. If the Chiefs score any points in the first half, they win.

It seemed like Reid didn't run any plays that included shallow crossing routes, or any quick slants. Everything seemed to be routes that took 3-4 seconds to develop.

In the first half Reid was hanging Mahomes out to dry because it seemed like we ran no plays designed to get the ball out of Mahomes' hands quickly.

Reid got his ass thoroughly kicked by Belichick. I hope the media that were drooling over this Chiefs OL realize after today that it's not a great OL. Mahomes has made them look good by pulling miracles out of his ass in the scramble drill all season.

It's ludicrous to even think that scoring slowly is an option. The real world doesn't work that way.

The only thing that's even close was when the Chiefs were on the 2 after Watkins' catch and run. I mentioned to my wife that you run the ball up the middle four times here, and if you don't score eventually you don't deserve to win. We did exactly that, but scored on the first play.
