Interesting stat when comparing MVP candidates
Average Intended Air Yards (how far downfield the QB is throwing)

Mahomes: 9.2 yards
That's tied with Russell Wilson for 6th out of 40 QBs.

Brees: 7.1 yards
That's 32nd out of 40 QBs.

One QB looks to stretch the field a little more than the other. For reference, before he got injured, Alex Smith was 16th.

Andrew Luck is at 7.6 and Josh Allen leads this with 11. I think this stat tells you more about the style of offense than QB ability.

I think the foundation of our offense hasn't changed, but it's definitely opened up way more options and the ability to clear out sections of the field for new route runners.
