Chiefs Andy Reid's PHILOSOPHY is not conducive to winning...

CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!...PERIOD.

In the last twenty years or so only around four or five have been won by what folks would term "offensive minded" head coaches. And three of the guys who won (Kubiak, Coughlin and Pederson) HAD GOOD/GREAT defenses themselves and a running game. Those are simply the facts.

But what made me start this thread is that Andy has brainwashed many of us into believing that his way is the best way. People are debating Jones and arguing that he should be tagged and traded whilst at the same time others are saying we must keep Kelce at all costs!!!. We'd rather get rid of the second best DT in the league, who is young and getting better, than a 30 year old TE who is only going to decline as we move forward. But this is what Andy has done to us..."Offense is the best way" when the cold, hard truth is DEFENSE AND RUNNING THE BALL EFFECTIVELY are the way you win a championship in this league nine times out of ten. We just saw the Pats do it that exact way. But sadly those two very aspects of the game are Andy's two biggest weaknesses along with managing the clock....he doesn't give a feck about defense and he doesn't give a damn about running the ball...full stop.

IF/When we come up short again In the playoffs the organisation and we as fans will have to decide if we're content with having an "exciting" team who puts up a bunch of points and highlights in the regular season, or if we really want to win a damn championship...because we can't have it both ways. Sacrifices will have to be made In order to reach our goal whether it's the coaching staff or members of our offensive group...something will have to change.
