Chiefs restructured two contracts
The Kansas City Chiefs restructured the contracts of LB Anthony Hitchens and LT Eric Fisher, creating close to $10.6M in cap space for the 2019 season, per @fieldyates.
The Chiefs converted both players’ 2019 base salary into a signing bonus.

My first thought was a Chris Jones extension but I have a hard time believing they would have two defensive linemen making 20+ million a year.

I could be wrong but I think the chiefs are one of the teams that don't do contracts in the middle of the season. I can't remember one being done after the season started.
