'Inception' stars vie for 'Batman' role

Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in 'Inception'
Three stars of Christopher Nolan's Inception are reportedly competing for a role in his third Batman outing.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Tom Hardy are being considered for the part of the Riddler in Batman 3, a source at Warner Bros told ComicBookMovie.com.

It is thought that the success of Inception and the insistence of Nolan means that one of the actors will fill the role.

Last month, Inception and Batman star Michael Caine revealed that filming on the latest film in the franchise is to begin in April 2011.

Interesting. I think all three could knock it out of the park. In different ways, of course. Still, I'm crossing fingers for Gordon-Levitt.

Hardy is ****ing awesome, but the Riddler he is not. Leo could pull any role he's given off like a champ. Gordon-Levitt just screams it, though. Should be him, IMO. I want all 3 in some capacity though! Of course I don't know if Leo would ever settle for some secondary role.

Gordon-Levitt is the obvious casting choice, so of course it won't happen.

Leo would be ghey in that role, and anyone who suggests otherwise is similarly ghey.

You shut your whore mouth, Pittsie! Leo's gayness is in the past. He's becoming one of my favorite actors. He's not as natural for the Riddle as Gordon-Levitt, but I think he has enough acting talent to make it work.
