As the title suggests, does anyone actually use them and if so is there any that you recommend? I am just researching them and wondering what the opinions of others are in regards to them.

As a tech person, I simply cannot imagine paying that much for 1Password over the myriad of KeePass-based options, almost all of which are just as powerful and are free, open-source, and/or cross platform.

I would, of course, have to have access to you machine to get to the file and I don't have that because I'm not a cracker and have no desire to steal your info.

That doesn't mean there aren't people out there that actually do have the desire and an Excel file is a pretty poor way to protect information.
