Through 6 games we've given up 2,809 yards on defense. That puts us on pace to give up 7,491 yards for the season.

The all-time record for yards allowed in a season was set in 2012 by New Orleans with 7,042.

What do you think? Can we do it?

I gotta disagree you. If you want to beat the Chiefs best way is to score a lot of pts like the Pats did. If it's a run based offense that will score the most then run if it's pass based offense then pass but you have to be able to score.

Defenses are not going to be able to consistently stop the top offenses like Chiefs, Saints, Pats and Rams. I think d-coordinators will eventually figure these offenses out to an extent but not this season.

So best you can hope for is a couple stops and even that is pushing it. The strategy of limiting opportunities to score while it has worked in the past nowadays I'm not sure if running to keep an offense off the field will work because of how quickly the top offenses can score. Ravens did okay against the Saints holding them to 24-pts but they still lost cause they only scored 23.

Why not have a really good season by giving up the most yards?

Why not break records on both ends of the record book at the same time.
