Buying a new TV.
Looked for some kind of mega thread to add on to but never saw anything. Never been a guy to sink a bunch into a TV but I am moving and need something. I am pretty low maintenance want something in the 48'' range don't really need a smart TV any of the online or subscription services I use will be accessed from a different device and plugged in. Would love to spend $500 or less. People keeping pointing me to Nebraska Furniture Mart though Sams Club and Costco (have a membership to both) seem to have some decent deals as well.

You know-it-alls have a good TV for me? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately the plasmas are all gone now.

Sounds like Vizio is a great option for you. We were leaning that way but opted to buy a Samsung instead because of a sale. We're very happy with it, and I think both the Vizio and Samsung TVs around your price range are good. Samsung comes with the smart TV apps you don't care about, but it was actually nice for us on to have those when our AppleTV was on the fritz.
