Big Bang Theory: Main actors agree to $1 million per episode...

Not bad work if you can get it...

It's $1 million each for the actors per episode. The advertisers must pay ridiculous amounts to sell their products.

Sorry, but the Daily Mail article is immensely out of touch.

Courtney Cox had to get a real estate license? Are you shitting me?

Every single one of those actors could spend the rest of their lives spending money and they wouldn't ever get to the dollars they made TODAY.

Not one of them "needs" work. They do it because they love it.

If you're comparing the work they're doing now to Friends, it's just silly. It's like saying Jerry Seinfeld hasn't really been able to "find work" since his show went off the air. I mean, the Marriage Ref was cancelled, right? And now he has to do a web series?

On paper it looks bad.

You have to realize how ****ing rare it is for A) any show to get a full season order; B) any show to go multiple seasons; B) a multiple season show being a bonafide hit.

After all of that... all of those hurdles... at the VERY TOP of the mountain...

There's Friends.

Of course they will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER come close to that kind of success. You're the ****ing Beatles, man. You don't get two of those. Just ask Paul McCartney and Wings.

That doesn't mean that cast isn't working constantly. Schwimmer might not be playing the big movie roles, but that doesn't mean he couldn't be on TV every single week that he chose to. Seriously.

He could be doing independent movies all year if he wanted. Believe that. I could walk into a anyone's office asking for $4 million to shoot my indie comedy, and as long as any cast member from Friends was there with me, I have investors.

But they don't want to do $4 million indie movies. Well... Kudrow might... of course she's ****ing smart as all hell. (See: Biology major at Vassar).

The point is, just because someone doesn't have a second boffo series doesn't mean they can't get work. And ALL of their quotes are high enough that any work is lucrative work.

I implied they had plenty of money due to residuals. So yes, they don't need to work.

Jerry doesn't want to find work from what I read or on TV. He's set for life. The actors from friends were bummed they didn't star parts. Well, certain ones.

Other than that, I think you're over reacting to my post. I am just the messenger and that's what I read. It depends on what those people were looking for afterwards. Seems they wanted more.

So relax.

I'm just saying there is a huge difference between being a movie star and being able to make hundreds of thousands of dollars in perpetuity as an actor.

The cast of friends will be acting on television or movies (or new media...) for the rest of their lives.

I enjoy the show, but anybody claiming that others don't like the show because they don't get the jokes is delirious. Just because the show is about nerds doesn't mean the jokes are intelligent. The show is actually set up to make the jokes easy for the viewer to understand. If the jokes WERE intelligent, it wouldn't be a popular show because most of America wouldn't understand it.

I already know all that. But I read an article earlier where some of the former cast wanted more or better parts. So it depends on one's goals.

The vast majority of the viewing public disagrees and think YOU suck donkey dick.

Based upon your posting history in the short time you've been here, it's not a big shock that you're not smart enough to get the jokes.

I'm shocked by two things:

1) That a culture whose most devoured books are Twilight, The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, and 50 Shades of Grey would love The Big Bang Theory

and

2) That Pete Gas loves The Big Bang Theory

If people think BBT is bad, try watching Sullivan and Sons. Dear god the episode I forced myself through was so bad part of me wondered if it was a joke.
