I particularly like the ones that attack a candidate trying to get you to vote for their opponent without even naming the opponent or disclosing anything about their position on anything. Goes quite well with the array of infotainment channels filled with pre-digested soundbites that masquerade as news outlets. Don't worry about learning, thinking, understanding or coming up with your own ideas people - we know what's best for you! And make sure you vote straight ticket, the other side is bad!

All this polarization is by design. Bread and circuses to keep everyone from realizing we've been disenfranchised and that government now doesn't have any real interest in actually representing, much less benefiting, the people that it's supposed to serve. Left, right, center, we're all being scammed.
